Today was Connecting Kids Consciously] first day back of Term 1. It was so lovely to see so many familiar faces and new ones too!!

Today, we spoke about what the word belonging means. We spoke about where we feel we belong. It was clear so many kids that were returning felt a sense of belonging at Connecting Kids Consciously].

‘I feel I belong with my friends’ was a response during circle time. We all need to feel like we belong. I would argue it is one of our most basic needs.

We spoke about how for thousands of years people have shared stories as a way to build relationships and build a sensing of belonging. It was beautiful to hear the children’s stories over the past 6 weeks on holidays and watch the others practice listening and responding to each other.

So much magic happens during these sessions ✨

I am excited to announce we’re starting our Learning Pods for children 3-6 years old. Term 1 starts this week!!

If you’re interested in enrolling your child in Learning Pods this term, I welcome you to come for a free trial this Wednesday February 1st from 9:30am-11:30am.

Last year when I had this big vision to create Connecting Kids Consciously] this is what I envisioned.

A safe place for children to connect, learn and grow. A community of likeminded families, where we all feel safe be seen, heard, supported and understood.

It is such an honour and true blessing to see my visions come to life. I am so grateful for the Connecting Kids Consciously] community. It truly is a dream come true for myself, my children and our community.

We have FREE trial sessions next week. Spots are limited so please contact me as soon as possible if you would like to come and have a try.

We have had such a great term, starting off with social skills around interacting with others, taking turns, building friendship. We then moved to how we can choose our emotions and pick what colours we want to paint the world- grey gloomy colours or bright colours full of love, happiness and fun.

For children 1.5-3 years our trial is Tuesday October 4th from 9:30am-11am. For children 4-6 our trial is Wednesday 5th October from 9:30am-11:30am.

There is something sacred with sharing food. We have been doing it for thousands and thousands of years.

The children had the opportunity to give one of the muffins we had made earlier that day to someone else.

It was a beautiful life lesson about giving and receiving as well as patience.

This week at Connecting Kids Consciously Learning Pods we baked muffins!

I love baking with children. Our focus was on taking turns and working together. We had wonderful conversations about turn taking and how it makes us feel when we all get a turn.

What a fun session! Thank you to for capturing these moments!

Oh how much I love parachute play!

Our focus of working together this week was practised during our game of ‘how many times we can bounce the balloon with out of falling out’ 🎈

We needed to work on our communication (both verbal and nonverbal) and listening to others. What a great experience 🥰
