Over the past two weeks, 1/2N has enjoyed getting to know Miss Nightingale as she continues the teaching for the rest of the year. We have been working together to build positive relationships and classroom routines.

In Mathematics, we have been learning about arrays by making cookie trays with different array patterns. We have also been working in groups to solve tricky addition and subtraction problems, sharing our thinking and learning new strategies.

We had a fantastic time on our excursion to the Newcastle Museum and loved the Supernova exhibition Mr Squiggle. We enjoyed exploring the hands-on physics and drawing activities and finished the day with a picnic together in the sunshine. It was a wonderful day of learning and fun!

K-6C have had a busy term so far! Our K-2 students got to go to Newcastle museum and try out all sorts of amazing hands on experiments. In class, we've been exploring under the sea, designing sea habitats and creatures that live there. We have been writing some wonderful sentences to go with our artworks. This week we were very excited to share our costumes with our friends and had an absolute blast at the book parade.

📚✨ Book Week Parade 2026! ✨📚

What a fantastic celebration of books, characters and reading at our 2026 Book Week Parade! Our students looked amazing dressed as some of their favourite book characters, and it was wonderful to see so much creativity and excitement across the school.

A huge thank you to our families for helping bring the book magic to life, and a special thank you to our wonderful librarian, Mrs Hughes, for all of her work in making Book Week such a special celebration for our students. Well done to everyone involved! 📖💫
