📚✨ BOOK WEEK MAGIC AT GARAH PUBLIC SCHOOL! ✨📚

What a wonderful day celebrating Book Week together!

One of the most special parts of today was seeing just how many members of our community showed up to support our students. Our classrooms were full of family members and friends this morning for Open Classrooms, sharing in the learning and taking the time to see what our students have been working on. We are incredibly grateful for the way our community continues to get behind our little school and our kids. 💙💛

Our Book Week Parade was an absolute hit! We know that behind every costume is often a family member searching, creating, borrowing, buying, sewing or pulling something together at the last minute. Thank you for the effort that happens behind the scenes to make days like today so exciting for our students. There were some incredible characters walking around Garah today! 📖✨

A very special shout out to our friends at Garah Community Preschool for joining us for the parade. We loved having our littlest community members celebrating alongside us and being part of the fun.

And finally, we need to recognise the driving force behind Book Week at Garah this year, Miss Talitha. From the Book Fair to the activities, displays and all the little details that created so much excitement, an enormous amount of work has happened behind the scenes. We simply could not have done it without her. Thank you, Miss Talitha, for bringing all of the Book Week magic to our kids. 📚✨

Days like today are a beautiful reminder that our school is so much more than what happens inside the classroom. It is students, staff, families, friends and our wider community coming together to make school a place our kids are excited to be.

Our book week dress up and celebration day is on Tuesday. If any students, or little people from our community, need to borrow a costume we have lots in our many dress up box! Please speak to staff on Monday and we can have one ready for you to pick up! 🩵💛
