Today we joined millions of children and educators across Australia to celebrate National Simultaneous Storytime 2026 📚✨
This year’s story, Luna Roo the Kangaroo Baller, brought excitement, laughter and important messages about courage, teamwork and determination. The children loved coming together to share in the joy of reading, storytelling and connecting through a shared Australian story.
Experiences like National Simultaneous Storytime help foster a love of literacy, imagination and belonging while showing children the magic that books can bring when shared together. 🦘⚽💛

This week, the children began exploring important road safety messages as part of National Road Safety Week. Through discussions and visual prompts, the children reflected on safe practices such as holding an adult’s hand near roads, crossing at intersections, and listening carefully for traffic before crossing. These conversations encouraged the children to share their own experiences and build awareness of how to stay safe in the community.

Children recently participated in STEPS Vision eye screening, a simple and non-invasive check that supports early identification of potential vision concerns. Regular vision screening helps ensure children can engage confidently in play, learning, and daily routines. Families will be supported with information if follow-up is recommended.
