Our Hot Stone Massage One Day Training is a deeply immersive, hands-on experience where you’ll learn to work confidently and intuitively with a range of beautiful therapeutic stones - from grounding volcanic basalt, to semi-precious jade (Bodhi) stones, and the US Synergy professional stone system.

Throughout the day, you’ll learn how to seamlessly incorporate a variety of warmed stones into a cohesive full body massage sequence.

We cover professional stone placements for both prone and supine positioning, along with complete 60-minute and 90-minute hot stone treatment flows.

This training also explores the different types of stones, including how to safely heat, cleanse, and care for them, as well as the philosophy behind working with these powerful, grounding tools.

With the radiating warmth of the stones, you’ll learn how to gently melt layers of tension within the body — creating treatments that are both deeply therapeutic and profoundly nurturing.

By the end of the course, you’ll feel confident in tailoring each session to meet the individual needs of your clients. This is a beautiful skill to add to your practice.

Prerequisite: A foundational skill base in Relaxation and/or Swedish Massage is required.

This training is led by Gay Riches, a highly experienced instructor with over 35 years in remedial massage and teaching. Gay is deeply passionate about educating students and considers it both an honour and a privilege to support and enhance their massage techniques. She is dedicated to empowering students to make a positive impact in the community through their skills.

This 18-hour course is nationally recognised by the International Institute for Complementary Therapists (IICT).
