GOING DEEPER WITH LOU BENSON
For Structural Integration practitioners, this is a rare opportunity to spend a full day in a small-group mentorship with ๐๐จ๐ฎ ๐๐๐ง๐ฌ๐จ๐ง, as part of Summer School 2027 ๐คฉ
Lou is the retired Education Director and former lead teacher for all levels of Anatomy Trains Structural Integration (ATSI) worldwide. With more than 35 years as a Manual Therapist and Structural Integration Practitioner, Lou brings a depth of experience that goes far beyond technique.
This one-day mentorship is an opportunity to slow down, refine your perception and explore what โdeep workโ really means.
Because going deeper isn't necessarily about using more pressure. Itโs about becoming more sensitive and responsive to the person in front of you โ learning to recognise patterns, distinguish what you are feeling and respond with greater precision and less effort.

Wojtek Cackowski returns to Australia for Summer School 2027, bringing his extensive experience in Structural Integration, manual therapy and myofascial work to a four-day BoneWork workshop.
Based on the pioneering work of Sharon Wheeler, BoneWork explores the remarkable fascial plasticity of bone and the tissues surrounding it.
The workshop introduces two key approaches:
๐ฆด Bone Change
Precise, gentle manual techniques work with the fascial layers surrounding the periosteum, addressing connective tissue changes that can develop following injury or trauma. The aim is to support changes in shape, contour, alignment and functional movement.
๐ฆด Bone Rolling
This approach focuses on restrictions and adhesions between adjacent bones at the level of the periosteal fascia. Through carefully directed manual pressure, the surrounding connective tissue is worked with to help restore a more natural relationship between neighbouring bones and greater freedom of movement.
Importantly, Bone Rolling is entirely a soft-tissue approach. It does not involve joint manipulation, chiropractic techniques or high-velocity adjustments.
Wojtek is a certified Structural Integration ATSI practitioner, Scarworkยฎ and Boneworkยฎ teacher, and the founder of ZOGA Movement . With more than ten years of experience, he combines manual therapy and yoga with myofascial therapy and regularly teaches and speaks internationally.

Melanie Burns is the Chief Executive Officer of Anatomy Trains and Director of Anatomy Trains Europe & UK.
At Summer School 2027, Melanie will lead ๐๐๐ฏ๐ข๐ ๐๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ข๐ฌ๐ก๐ข๐ง๐ ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐๐๐ซ๐ฏ๐จ๐ฎ๐ฌ ๐๐ฒ๐ฌ๐ญ๐๐ฆ: ๐ ๐๐จ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐ฏ๐๐ ๐๐ฅ ๐๐๐ซ๐ฌ๐ฉ๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐, a three-day workshop exploring the ways our autonomic intuition shapes our experience of ourselves, each other and the world, and how the organising principles of Polyvagal Theory can come alive in manual and movement therapies.
The workshop begins with the anatomy of the ๐๐ ๐๐ซ๐๐ง๐ข๐๐ฅ ๐ง๐๐ซ๐ฏ๐๐ฌ, with a focus on the vagus nerve. Through experiential exercises, you'll explore which nerves are sensory, motor, or both, and how this knowledge can be used for yourself, with clients or in classes.
Melanie will then explore the organising principles of ๐๐จ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐ฏ๐๐ ๐๐ฅ ๐๐ก๐๐จ๐ซ๐ฒ, including hierarchy, neuroception and co-regulation, and how these principles help shape relationships.
The workshop's main focus is on discovering and deepening pathways to ventral regulation. Through experiential practices, self-massage, breathwork and other tools, you'll explore the conditions that invite or inhibit regulation, track shifts in autonomic state, and develop polyvagal-informed language and interventions for your work.

From Hobart to Launceston...
What a wonderful few days we shared at our recent Anatomy Trains in Structure & Function workshop in Hobart! It was a pleasure to spend three days exploring fascia, movement, posture and BodyReading with such an engaged group of student.
If you missed Hobart, there's still an opportunity to join us in Launceston, Tasmania, from 11โ13 September with Maree Clayton ๐คฉ
Over three immersive days, you'll gain a practical understanding of the Anatomy Trains myofascial meridians and learn how to:
โข Assess posture and movement through a new lens
โข Develop effective myofascial and movement strategies
โข Refine your palpation and BodyReading skills
โข Create treatment approaches tailored to your clients' structural and functional patterns
Whether you're a manual therapist or movement professional, this course offers practical skills and insights that you can apply immediately in your practice.
We still have places available and would love to welcome you to Launceston.

Meet Gary Ward
Creator of Anatomy in Motion and inventor of the Flow Motion Model, Gary Ward approaches anatomy through movement, exploring how the bodyโs joints and bones work together as an integrated system.
Garyโs anatomical journey began as a ski boot fitter, where his fascination with feet and anatomy led him to explore how small changes in the foot could influence pain and performance throughout the body. This eventually developed into Anatomy in Motion โ a model that challenges traditional anatomical concepts and helps practitioners understand movement through experience.
At Summer School 2027, Gary will share this approach in Closed Chain Biomechanics.
This one-day workshop takes you on a detailed journey through the bodyโs three-dimensional anatomy, from toe to head. Explore how joints connect throughout the kinetic chain and how integrated joint motion relates to your understanding of the Anatomy Trains.
