The MSAND research interest group was formed in late 2015 to cater for medical students' interests in medical, clinical and population health research.
In addition to this page, a website which contains a database of research projects, students and clinicians' profiles has been developed and can be accessed at www.theresearchnetwork.com.au. This research network provides students with an opportunities to access research projects that are posted by clinicians who are looking for students' extra pairs of hands. We’re thrilled to introduce Dr. Emily Wainwright as our keynote speaker for the 2025 MSAND Research Symposium!
A Notre Dame alumni and recipient of the Notre Dame School of Medicine Research Prize (2024), for her work on comorbidities in paediatric cochlear implant recipients. Her research was recently published in the International Journal of Pediatric Otorhinolaryngology and she will also be presenting her work at an international conference later this year.
Join us as she shares her journey into research, her insights and her advice for aspiring researchers.

- one slide presentation on a research paper of student's choice (welcome to use JAR presentation)
⏱ 3 Minute Thesis (4th years only)
- presentation of 4th year students' final project
