Leadership can be incredibly rewarding… but it can also carry a weight that very few people see.

When you’re the person others rely on, it’s easy to become so focused on supporting everyone else that you stop noticing what you’re carrying yourself.

The pressure, responsibility, constant thinking and the expectations you place on yourself. The things you don’t always feel you can say out loud, especially to your team or loved ones.

Being capable of carrying a lot doesn’t mean you should have to carry it all.

At Ethena X, we believe powerful leadership begins with how you lead yourself. The better you can lead yourself, the better you can lead others too (whether that’s your team, organisation, a group or family).

🌟 Knowing when to push and when to pause
🌟 Recognising what’s happening beneath the surface
🌟 Understanding and transforming your subconscious beliefs, patterns and habits driving you
🌟 Creating a way of living, leading and working that supports your wellbeing as much as your ambition

Success shouldn’t require you to sacrifice yourself to achieve it… That’s not sustainable.

Through NLP Coaching, Clinical Hypnotherapy, Corporate Training and Workplace Wellbeing programs, we support leaders, teams and impact-driven people to create meaningful change from the inside out. To release what’s holding you back and develop the self-leadership skills required for sustainable success, so your wellbeing, purpose and performance rise together.

You don’t need to wait until the pressure becomes too much, or your internal volcano erupts.

If this resonates with you, your team or someone you lead, get in touch with Ethena X today to explore how we can support you (link in bio Ethena X )

Every decision is a vote for the person you’re becoming.

When you’re overwhelmed, stressed or uncertain, it’s easy to react from fear, habit or old patterns. Your subconscious mind will default back to old, familiar (and sometimes unhelpful) ways of living, leading and reacting.

Instead, pause for a moment and ask yourself:

“What would the leader I want to become do next?”

That one question creates space between the situation and your response. It’s in that space that self-leadership can shine.

Remember, you don’t need to have every answer. You simply need to take the next step that aligns with the person you want to become, instead of the emotions that happen to be loudest today.

The more often you practise this, the more your brain strengthens new patterns and neural pathways. What once felt intentional gradually becomes your default way of thinking, responding and leading.

Effective leadership of self and others isn’t built in only the big moments that everyone else sees. It’s in the small choices you make every single day.

At Ethena X, we help individuals, leaders and organisations develop the self-leadership skills that create lasting change, from the inside out.

Our Ethena X Founder Camelia ~ NLP Results Coach, Clinical Hypnotherapist & Trainer and co-facilitator Elodie recently had the privilege of facilitating the City of Rockingham Junior Council Leadership Day. Supporting an incredible group of 22 young people aged 11-12, the day kick started their leadership journey.

Throughout the day, they explored leadership through practical experiences that encouraged them to think critically, communicate effectively, build confidence and work collaboratively. They were an inspiring group who loved to learn, get stuck in, have fun and further develop their leadership skills.

By the end of the day, the young leaders were visibly (and verbally) keen to embark on the next phase of their Junior Council journey. Many of them said how they now felt “more confident”, had “made lots of new friends” and had “had a fun and great day.”

When young people feel psychologically safe, positively challenged and genuinely engaged, they’re far more likely to build the confidence and skills they’ll continue to draw on long after the workshop has finished.

By combining neuroscience, neuro-linguistic programming (NLP), positive psychology and evidence-informed learning with engaging activities, they weren’t simply learning about leadership, they were practising it.

At Ethena X, that’s what we believe creates meaningful learning and why all of our training and workshops use this unique approach. Through this, we create memorable and engaging experiences that help individuals and teams to learn, grow and evolve.

A sincere thank you to Amanda Deans, Marta Makuch, Zeena Khan and the City of Rockingham for continually investing in the next generation, and for trusting Ethena X to be part of that journey.

The most impactful leaders we’ve worked with all have one thing in common.

They aren’t focused on being seen as a leader. They’re focused on making a meaningful difference.

They’re driven by purpose, contribution, genuine care and integrity.

As Lisa Haisha said:

“Great leaders don’t set out to be a leader. They set out to make the difference. It is never about the role - always about the goal.”

When people feel psychologically safe, inspired and empowered to think differently (and express authentically), leadership naturally follows.

Titles may earn authority yet impact earns trust.

At Ethena X, we help leaders, difference-makers and teams to level up from the inside out and create even more positive impact. You’ll develop key self-leadership skills and release blocks holding you back, so you can better lead yourself and others.

The best leaders don’t simply manage people, they help them grow whilst also growing themselves.

Last Thursday I had the pleasure and privilege of facilitating a Youth Leadership Day for the City of Rockingham Junior Council, with my Ethena X co-facilitator Elodie. They’re an incredible group of young people aged 11-12 ready to begin their leadership journey 🌟

Rather than spending the day solely sitting through presentations, they were challenged to think, collaborate, solve problems and step outside their comfort zones through fun and engaging activities.

Throughout the day we explored:

🌟 What leadership really looks like
🌟 My L.E.A.D framework they can follow
🌟 Building confidence through challenges
🌟 Communication and teamwork
🌟 Self-awareness, self-leadership and understanding the impact they have on others
🌟 How this all supports them in the Junior Council and beyond

By combining neuroscience, NLP, positive psychology and evidence-based learning strategies with interactive activities, the goal wasn’t simply to teach leadership, it was to help them experience it. All in an engaging, fun and inclusive way.

It was deeply fulfilling watching them learn, grow and realise they’re more capable than they first believed. They all walked in feeling nervous, shy and not knowing each other. They all finished bubbling with energy (again, as did I!) stating they felt “more confident”, had “made lots of new friends”, felt “excited” for the journey ahead and had “had a fun and great day.”

When we invest in young people early, we’re not only building confident, capable individuals. We’re helping shape stronger schools, workplaces and communities for years to come.

A huge thank you to Amanda, Marta, Zeena and the City of Rockingham for continually investing in its future leaders. It was a pleasure to be part of the beginning of their Junior Council journey.

With delivering two tailored youth leadership sessions to two different groups last week, not only am I deeply fulfilled, I’m also impressed by the staff teams at City of Rockingham. Their true passion, energy and commitment for what they do shines through. They’re making a big difference and it shows.

Last week, our Ethena X Founder and co-facilitator Elodie had the privilege of delivering the Youth Sports Leadership Program for the . Equipping young people with practical skills they can take back into their sporting clubs, schools and communities.

Together we explored:
🌟 Developing a growth mindset
🌟 Building resilience through challenges
🌟 Supporting mental health and wellbeing
🌟 Strengthening leadership skills that create positive team and club cultures

Most importantly, these weren’t just concepts discussed in a presentation. Through interactive activities, team challenges and real-world scenarios, participants had the opportunity to practise their new skills, reflect on their experiences and learn from one another in a fun and engaging environment.

At Ethena X, we believe the most impactful learning happens when evidence-based psychology, neuroscience, NLP and experiential learning come together. That’s how confidence grows, resilience strengthens and leadership becomes something young people genuinely experience… not just understand.

A sincere thank you to Victoria Porteous and the City of Rockingham for continuing to invest in the next generation of youth sport leaders. Creating environments where young people can develop these skills today helps build stronger sporting clubs, healthier communities and more capable leaders for the future.

Leadership isn’t something young people suddenly develop when they become adults.

It starts with the conversations they have, the challenges they overcome and the opportunities they’re given today.

19/07/2026

Alongside the training and workshops we deliver to adults, we also deliver to children and young people.

The young people we invest in today become the leaders, teammates, employees and changemakers of tomorrow.

At Ethena X, we deliver engaging, evidence-informed workshops that help children and young people build the skills they’ll use for life.

Using neuroscience, NLP and positive psychology, our interactive sessions make learning meaningful, practical and fun.

Topics include:
🌟 Growth Mindset and Resilience
🌟 Youth Leadership
🌟 Self-Leadership
🌟 Mental Health and Wellbeing
🌟 Plus tailored workshops to meet the unique needs of your group

Every session is customised to your participants, creating an experience that is relevant, engaging and leaves a lasting impact.

If you’re a school, local government, sporting club, community organisation or youth service, we’d love to help empower your young people.

Waiting to feel motivated is a losing game.

Motivation comes and goes. It’s impacted by your energy levels, quality of sleep, nutrition, hydration and the environment you’re in. Plus other factors like your subconscious beliefs and patterns…

If your nervous system is overloaded or you have subconscious beliefs and patterns blocking you from taking action, waiting to feel motivated will delay your results even further.

High performers and elites don’t rely on motivation alone. They build habits and systems that continually give them the best chance of sustainable success.

Daily habits like movement, high-quality nutrition, effective sleep routines and mindset work all stack up. They challenge their subconscious beliefs, work on improving their thought patterns and managing their emotions. If their goal is to complete a project, they build the habit of working on it consistently and leading themselves from within (aka self-leadership). They don’t wait until the last moment to get it done.

It’s like training for a marathon. You wouldn’t start your training or nutrition plan 2 weeks out from running. That would dramatically increase your risk of injury and make the process stressful (and painful).

Instead, you would plan the steps and milestones you need to reach over a period of time. Then continually build the habit of exercising, running, eating healthily, improving sleep quality and doing the mindset work to manage your thoughts as you run the distance.

Achieving sustainable success as a leader, difference maker, high performer or entrepreneur is the same. Build the habits, systems, subconscious mindset work and nervous system regulation practices, and watch your results improve. This is self-leadership.

At Ethena X, this is what we support leaders and high performers with through our NLP coaching, clinical hypnotherapy, workplace wellbeing programs and corporate training.

High performance and success shouldn’t come at the expense of your wellbeing. That’s not sustainable.

For a long time, burnout has been framed as something individuals simply need to become more resilient against.

The reality is more nuanced. Burnout rarely develops because of one single factor.

It’s often the result of sustained pressure combined with the interaction between workload, workplace systems, leadership, organisational culture and your own habits, beliefs and behavioural patterns.

That’s why the solution isn’t pointing the finger at employees. Nor is it expecting organisations to solve everything on their own.

Sustainable performance happens when both evolve together.

Organisations can create healthier cultures, realistic workloads, supportive leadership and systems that enable people to do their best work.

Individuals can strengthen their self-leadership, emotional regulation, boundaries and the ability to recover effectively from inevitable periods of stress.

When both come together, the benefits extend far beyond wellbeing.

🌟 People think more clearly
🌟 Teams collaborate more effectively
🌟 Leaders make better decisions
🌟 Performance becomes more sustainable

At Ethena X, that’s the approach we believe creates lasting change. Supporting both people and workplaces to thrive together through evidence-informed training, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) Coaching and therapeutic approaches. Our Workplace Wellbeing program combines these and includes guided visualisation sessions to help teams relax, reset and release stress.

Success should enhance people’s lives, not come at the expense of them.

What’s one change, either personal or organisational, that you believe would have the greatest impact on preventing burnout?

Everyone notices the promotion.

The business growth. The confidence. The results.

Very few people notice what created them.

🌟 The mornings you chose courage over comfort
🌟 The conversation you were avoiding but then chose to approach it
🌟 The moment you challenged the internal story that said you weren’t ready
🌟 The evenings you chose recovery instead of proving your worth through more work
🌟 The healthy habits you restarted and then persevered with

Transformation rarely arrives in one life-changing moment. It takes hundreds of small decisions and actions that slowly reshape your identity.

This is why lasting change isn’t about more motivation, more hustle or more “doing all of the things”. It’s in the becoming (and being) the kind of person who naturally thinks, feels and behaves differently.

That’s where neuroscience, neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) coaching, subconscious change and self-leadership become so powerful.

When you change your internal patterns, your external results have no choice but to catch up. As within, so without.

So today, ask yourself one question:

What decision would the future version of me make next?

Then make that decision before your old habits have a chance to take hold. Take action on it before your old internal stories or beliefs have a chance to answer. Decide then do.

Your future isn’t built by one extraordinary day or act, it’s what you repeatedly choose today.
