What happens when creativity, curiosity and hard work come together? ✨

Our Term 3 Project Showcase was a celebration of everything our students have been exploring, creating and achieving this term.

From first ideas to final outcomes, we were so proud to see our students share their projects with families, friends and the wider TSS community, as well as raise nearly $500 for St. Patrick's Community Support Centre from our student run-bake sale 💚

A very special moment in Cambodia 💚

Several of our students have been joining All Saints' College WA students on a Service Tour in Cambodia, and have recently spent two days working alongside local builders to help construct a home for a pair of siblings in need.

Despite the heat and humidity, students threw themselves into the experience, helping assemble the home before taking part in a house blessing and presenting gifts they had fundraised for back home.

We wish our crew safe travels for the rest of their trip!

What can you create with colour, texture and a little experimentation? 🎨

A group of our students took part in a hands-on Gelli Printing workshop at Walyalup Fremantle Arts Centre, exploring layering, pattern and printmaking techniques.

It was a great opportunity to try something new, experiment with the creative process and see where it could take them.

A huge thank you to the team at Walyalup Fremantle Arts Centre for having us and for sharing these beautiful photos.

GO FREO 💜⚓️

A very fitting moment for our latest Project Spotlight.

In Project Time Year 12 student Hannah has been creating her own range of handmade crochet bags and one recently made its way to a Fremantle Dockers game with Year 11 Neve’s mum, whose husband is part of the Dockers coaching team. Safe to say, it looked right at home among the purple army 🧶💜

We love seeing student projects move beyond the classroom and out into the community, especially when they come with a little extra Freo spirit! 🏉

Now THIS is a milestone ⚽🙌

Sofia (Year 12) has signed her first professional contract with Newcastle United Women in England, becoming the youngest Australian-born female to sign a professional football contract in the country!

At just 18, Sofia is chasing some massive goals, all while finishing school. With the flexibility of TSS, she’s been able to balance school and the demands of professional football, learning online, in person and through Teams, so school can continue wherever she is.

She’s also quick to credit her family for backing her all the way, including her brother Orlando, who’s also completing Year 12, while the siblings live on opposite sides of the world.

What a special evening! ✨🌅

Our Year 12 students and staff gathered at Bathers Beach House for a special dinner to celebrate just how far they’ve come.

With great food, heartfelt speeches and plenty of laughter, it was a beautiful opportunity to reflect on the friendships, achievements and memories that have shaped their time at TSS.

What can a whole school achieve in one day? 🌱

For our Term 3 School Service Day, students worked alongside the City of Fremantle’s Natural Areas team at our local Boo Park, weeding and planting across four areas.

It was a rewarding day full of teamwork, connection and giving back to our local environment, finished with a well-earned BBQ! 🌿🌭

Could you argue a side you don’t necessarily agree with? 🎤

Our Year 10 students put their research, communication and critical thinking skills to the test this week in their first formal debates City of Fremantle Council Chambers.

As part of their Term 3 Interdisciplinary Project, students worked in teams to research contemporary issues, build evidence-based arguments and respond to opposing viewpoints, including the use of AI in the judiciary, performance-based pay for teachers and whether Australia should use nuclear power.

It was great to see students stepping outside their comfort zones, speaking with confidence and respectfully challenging one another’s ideas.

Our best Sports Carnival yet ⭐️

From the first whistle to the final watermelon bite, our students threw themselves into every part of this year’s Sports Carnival. Whether they were sprinting, competing in Tug of War, taking on Capture the Flag, soccer, dodgeball or cheering from the sidelines, the enthusiasm was contagious!

What made the day so special wasn’t just the friendly competition. It was seeing students step up, back each other, take ownership and fully embrace every opportunity to get involved. The energy, teamwork and sense of community on display were everything The Studio School is about.
