📚✨ BOOK WEEK 2026! ✨📚

On Thursday, we had a fantastic day celebrating Book Week! We started with our Book Week Parade, where students and staff dressed as their favourite book characters and proudly showed off their amazing costumes. 📖🎉

Students then enjoyed a day of multi-age rotations, including a music lesson inspired by this year’s theme, “Symphony of Stories” 🎶, creating Things I Love Jars 💗, exploring A Frog’s Life 🐸, making Derek stress balls, and writing letters to a fruit or vegetable inspired by Dear Broccoli! 🍎🥕

It was a wonderful day filled with creativity, fun and, most importantly, a love of books! 📚❤️

A big thank you to our families for helping bring all of the incredible costumes to life! ✨

🕰️📚 Past in Your Class Day! 📚🕰️

Today, our Prep, Grade 1 and Grade 2 students stepped back in time to experience what school was like in the early 1900s!

Dressed as school children from the past, students welcomed Mrs Sargood, who taught us all about schooling in the olden days. Our P/1 students had a go at writing on chalkboards, while our 1/2 students experienced writing with ink!

We then joined our Grade 3 students, with some fantastic help from our Grade 5 leaders, for an afternoon of old-fashioned games. Students enjoyed hopscotch, quoits, skipping, marbles, wooden skittles, Hookey, dominoes, Cornrow, Battle Blocks and more!

It was such a fun, hands-on way to learn about life and school in the past. A big thank you to Mrs Sargood and our Grade 5 leaders for helping make the day so special! 💙

✨🕰️ The Time Travel Assembly! 🕰️✨

What an incredible night we had last Thursday at McClelland College for our school play, The Time Travel Assembly! 🎭✨

Our students took us on a musical journey through the decades, with each grade bringing their own era to life through music, dancing and plenty of fun! 💃🕺

🎶 Preps/1s travelled back to the fabulous 1950s
🎶 1/2s rocked their way through the 1960s
🎶 Grade 3s grooved to the 1970s
🎶 Grade 4/5s brought the 1980s back to life
🎶 Grade 5/6s finished the journey with the 1990s–2000s 🎤

From retro moves and classic tunes to some fantastic performances, our students worked so hard and absolutely shone on stage! ⭐

A huge congratulations to all of our students and staff for putting together such a wonderful production, and a very special thank you to Mrs Freeman for all her hard work❤️

What a fantastic night of music, dancing, laughter and memories! 🕺💃✨

🌟 Happy Principal’s Day! 🌟

On Friday 7 August, we celebrated our wonderful Principal, Mr Bodley, for Principal’s Day! 🥳💙

Our students had lots of fun getting involved in the celebrations. They coloured in a beautiful mural, presented Mr Bodley with special awards for being such an amazing principal, and shared their favourite things about him. 🥰🎨🏆

Our Grade 6 students also put Mr Bodley in the spotlight with a fun interview, giving everyone the chance to learn a little more about the person behind the principal! 🎤😄

And, of course, our staff made sure Mr Bodley was thoroughly spoilt with a special morning tea to show our appreciation for everything he does for our school community. ☕🍰💙

Thank you, Mr Bodley, for your leadership, care, dedication and for always going above and beyond for our students and staff. We are so lucky to have you! 🌟
