Textiles have been a large focus in 3 – 6 😁

Our Year 3/4 students developed fabulous mini monster/cushion creations. Year 3/4 students embraced the challenge of sewing techniques, threading needles and tying knots, showing fantastic persistence and determination. Every creation has its own unique personality, and we couldn't be prouder of the amazing results!

Year 5/6 students are creating personalised canvas bags, applying a range of textile techniques to communicate their creative ideas. Throughout this process, students refined their designs, adapted approaches and demonstrated persistence as they solved creative challenges. Their finished artworks showcase both their growing technical skills and individual artistic expression.

Amazing textile work, everyone! 🎨

Some of the local wildlife around the school yard at Frankston Primary School 🌳

The best time is after school at dusk – listening to the kookaburras in the local school grounds trees and throughout Beauty Park.

Last week 7 students of FPS attended our annual Mt Buller Frankston Federation Snow Camp. We had a blast!

Wednesday and Thursday we had the luck of amazing soft-fluffy snow fall, still with reasonable visibility. Friday, we had the most marvellous blue-bird day! Our skiers showed amazing resilience throughout the trip in tackling skiing for their first time. An amazing experience for all students attending! Mt Buller | Australia β„οΈπŸŽΏπŸ‚

National Tree Planting Day was Sunday, July 26th - and this week our Sustainability Captains, with the support of aspiring like-minded β€˜green-thumbed’ students from P – 6, assisted in revegetating the large garden beds next to our netball court.

The area is looking marvellous, and we are looking forward to seeing how they grow and add to our Environmental Science program!

On the last day of term, our Student Representative Council organised a whole school Funky Hair Day fundraiser for Dolly’s Day – raising funds for a great cause to end bullying. This was a meaningful way for our term to end, which has had a large focus on building positive mental health and wellbeing strategies with our young people.
