Day 2 Adelaide international kite festival. Rain…..wind……no wind…….wind…….rain. Was a mixed bag today. Fingers crossed for tomorrow

Trent Baker – Vic, Australia

When we talk about festival flyers who have kites in their blood, Trent Baker is one of the first names that comes to mind. 👶 He was just three weeks old when he first flew a kite and he hasn’t looked back since!

Trent has been part of the kite community his whole life, and over the years he’s created plenty of special memories right here at Semaphore. Back in the late 90s, when he was only knee-high, he had the unforgettable experience of stepping inside the Mega Ray, then the largest kite in the world 🪁

Fast forward to 2019, and even with 30 years of kite flying under his belt, Trent still ranks that Adelaide International Kite Festival as one of the best events he’s ever attended. Perfect flying conditions, stunning Semaphore sands and his kite family all together made it a Festival to remember!

As Trent adds another chapter to his kite story this Easter, join us and be part of the magic 🪁

Kites 4 Kids will be at the Frankston Wayerfront Festivsl with some FREE kite making for the kids.

Find us on the beach near the pier !!!!!

50 kites per hour between 12 and 7 pm.

Saturday 7 February for a huge days of live music, food trucks, family fun and summer vibes by the bay.
