I will be taking a short break from Mobile Car Seat Appointments from Tuesday 15th September until Wednesday 23rd September.

A little PSA for any other small business owners 👀

If you see a photo on another business’s Instagram, website, page (or even on Google) PLEASE don’t download it and use it for your own business 😊

Photos aren’t automatically free to use just because they are publicly available online. The person who took the photo will generally own the copyright and using someone else’s image to promote your own business without permission may infringe their rights.

This has been brought to my attention recently and I think it is an important reminder for small business owners. I’m not here to shame anyone, I simply want to highlight the issue.

Think of it like this… A cake maker wouldn’t take another baker’s beautiful cake photo and use it to advertise their own cakes. The same should apply in the child car safety industry.

The photos we share aren’t just pictures. They represent our work, our expertise and the actual services that we have provided to families 🚗

If you would like to use another business’s photo, please ask first! Let’s support each other’s work and respect the time, effort and creativity that goes into building a small business 🥰

One thing I get asked quite often during fittings is whether parents can be involved in the process and my answer is always ABSOLUTELY! 😍

I actually really love when parents want to watch what I’m doing, ask questions or even take a little video along the way so they can refer back to it later.

Your child’s seat is going to need adjustments as they grow and I want you to have the knowledge and confidence to make those adjustments safely - while also knowing I’m always here if you ever want to get it checked over.

So please, ask me all the questions! Watch what I am doing, ask me to explain something again or take a video if you think you may forget or want to look back on it when you need it in the future 🚗

I’m not just here to fit your car seat. A big part of what I do is helping parents feel more confident and educated about their child’s safety in the car 🥰

Hey everyone! 🚗

I haven’t posted on here much the last couple of months so popping in to say hello! Life has been a total whirlwind lately and to be completely honest, social media had to take a back seat for a little while..

I have been juggling a house move (I wish I could say never again! 😂) while trying to balance the everyday craziness of running the business and raising kids. I have also been incredibly busy doing lots of car seat fittings lately!

Behind the scenes, I have also been quietly working away on a couple of exciting new projects that I can't wait to share with you soon.

I am very excited to soon be launching a brand new booking system! It’s in development as we speak and it is going to make scheduling your next fitting or consultation so much easier and smoother.

Ten years ago, I completed my very first Child Restraint Fitting Accreditation.
Ten. Whole. Years! 🥹🎉

At the time, I was a 20 year old mum to a one year old. I had fallen head-first down the rabbit hole of car seat safety, driven by a fierce passion to protect my own little one and help other families do the same. I had absolutely no idea where that initial step would take me, but looking back now, all I can say is WOW.

In the last decade, this passion has completely shaped my life. I have:
🚗 Fitted and checked thousands upon thousands of car seats right across Victoria.
🗣️ Spent just as many hours educating parents, grandparents, carers, workers and fellow fitters
💫 Gained invaluable experience across the industry - working for myself, for a baby store and for an incredible not-for-profit
💙 Stepped into an admin role with the Car Seat Safety Australia Facebook group and am proudly one of the founding members of Car Seat Safety Australia Inc.

But beyond all of this and the milestones, it is the memories that I have formed along the way that have truly filled my heart.

I have shared in those beautiful and teary moments with first-time parents after fitting their car seat and they have realised they are so close to welcoming their baby. I have been lucky enough to have so many snuggles with precious newborns and then pop them in their car seat to ensure they are as safe as can be. And the absolute best part is watching those exact same babies grow into toddlers and children, as their families grow alongside my business. To be a small part of your family’s journey is so incredibly special and something I will never take for granted.

Thank you to every single family who has trusted me with your most precious cargo. I cannot wait to see where I am 10 years from now! 🥹
