Representing around 3-5 years of collection. Around a quarter of original amount. Cortinarius, Morchella, Boletes, Russula, Inocybes and various earthballs and miscellany... I am tired!! But hopefully get through them all over the weekend making sure ready for transfer next week.

Heavy mist this morning, found some unexpected Morels in the mist along the driveway and a Turbo chook!

Lol so funny! Not many ppl walk along this road as it rises roughly 100m in altitude per 1000 metres!
Not at all uncommon to see Acacia dealbata (aka Silver wattle), falling across roads in in winds and rains. I have noticed a few of the A.dealbata with Ganoderma fungus. Ganoderma seems to love this wattle a lot!
Over the years, I have seen it weaken and help fell many, I would call it a Forest Lumberjack.

Are these your kind of Winter Blues? Me too! 🍄❤ Pixie's Parasol - Mycena interrupta is the most photographed species in Tassie according to inaturalist! You can find it all year in Tassie on wood.

Did you know that a recent study has shown Tassie has it's own Pseudohydnum species? Research done on a collection from the southern forests in Geeveston revealed that Tassie's species is distinct from what we used to record as Pseudohydnum gelatinosum! The Type Specimen for Pseudohydnum tasmanicum was collected by Tasmanian mycologist Dr Genevieve Gates . P. tasmanicum has a vinaceous gray to smoke-gray cap surface, with 2–3 spines per mm at base of undersurface and it is found on fallen trunks and dead standing trees, e.g., Eucalyptus and Nothofagus. 🍄 On my woodpile - 10 metres from my bedroom ❤❤❤ Water droplets cling to the fine hairs on this tiny, white Mycena sp. Found on Eucalyptus regnans bark, Huon Valley, Tasmania. Approx. 5mm diam. 🍄🍄🍄
