It’s been a long time coming but Salvo Internships are starting to be rolled out across the Territory.

We’re starting small (so we get it right) but over the next few years we envisage many opportunities for people to gain experience in leadership at various locations while completing study.

Has God has placed a calling on your life for ministry? Why not check out the options available through The Salvation Army.
People are still being called to college as cadets, there are options to be Auxiliary Lieutenants.

The Internship program is about gaining skills in healthy corps and centres, seeing how everything works, and putting your hand to the wheel to see if it is your fit. There will be pathways to go on to other full time opportunities after the Internship- that’s for you to choose!

SUPER HUGE NEWS!
There are some exciting opportunities being developed in The Salvation Army right now for young adults across Australia!
A number of corps are putting together internship programs that will be launched soon. Each site will have their own flavour, program, and culture but what we have in common is we're looking for passionate Jesus followers who are ready to see the world transformed!

We'll share information as it comes out or you can send an expression of interest message to us to pass on for someone to contact you.

We're also looking at renaming this page so people can jump on board with the internships.

We’ve had a fair bit of interest recently in the Salvos Discipleship School (formerly The School for Youth Leadership).

While we are disappointed that the Salvation Army has decided to not recommence The School in Australia at this time we encourage you to seek other great opportunities for intensive discipleship.

The Youth With A Mission (YWAM) DTS (Discipleship Training School) continues to impact lives around the globe, and its structure and teaching formed the foundation of The School.

Our DTS is a 6-month course to develop, disciple and mobilise people to be a part of the Great Commission.

We were created to be in relationship with God and to go and share His truth throughout the world.

Thanks for your interest in the Salvos Discipleship School. In 2020 the School will be on "pause" while The Salvation Army decides on the future format of the young adult discipleship needs in the Australia Territory.

So this means that no applications will be received until later in 2020. We'll let you know when new info comes out- or keep your eye out for Salvo advertising when it is released.

To those who have been long time supporters; thank you for the past 28 years of valuing the School and its many students.
