🧠 Wellbeing Wednesday - Creativity, connection and a little bit of nature 🌿🎨

This term, a group of five students are taking part in the Homebase Art & Earth program, meeting weekly with the wonderful Kirrily from Homebase Services .

Art & Earth provides a relaxed and supportive space where the girls can connect, get creative, and explore their wellbeing through art, nature-based activities, and meaningful conversation. Along the way, they have opportunities to build confidence, strengthen social connections, express themselves, and develop skills that support their emotional wellbeing.

Sometimes wellbeing support doesn’t need to happen sitting across a desk. It can happen while creating something, spending time outdoors, having a conversation, and simply feeling connected to the people around you. 🌱💜

We love being able to offer programs that provide different ways for our students to connect, grow, and feel supported.

A big thank you to Kirrily and the Homebase Services team for continuing to provide these valuable opportunities for our students.

💜 Bullying No Way Day of Action 💜

What a way to finish our Bullying No Way Week of Action!

Today our school community came together for a fantastic day focused on this year’s theme, Small Acts, Big Impacts.

A huge thank you to the Lions Club for providing a BBQ lunch for our students, and to Homebase Services for joining us and being part of the day.

Period 5 saw the quad come alive, with faculties running a range of fun activities for students to get involved in, connect with each other and finish the week on a high.

And a very big shoutout to our incredible Wellbeing Team for all the work behind the scenes to organise such an amazing day. From the activities and prizes to the BBQ and everything in between, it was a brilliant way to bring our school community together. 👊👊

A great reminder that sometimes it really is the small things that can make the biggest difference. 💜

FISHING FOR HEALTH AND WELLNESS
Fishing for health and wellness week 5 challenge.
Supporting ‘Bullying, No Way’ week, this weeks challenge needs to incorporate something purple. Any fish can be submitted, with the best fish/best incorporation of purple being this weeks winner.

Australia's annual national week of action focused on the theme "Small Acts, Big Impact” is encouraging students and families to use everyday choices—like showing kindness, including others, and pausing before posting online—to prevent bullying.

Bullying in Australia causes deep, far-reaching harm to individuals, schools, and the wider community, affecting mental health, school performance, and long-term economic outcomes. Up to 40% of young Australians report frequent bullying, leading to physical symptoms, severe psychological distress, and a societal cost estimated in the billions.

So get amongst our fishing and promote the week by having ‘purple’ and doing small acts of kindness to improve both your health and others.
