CROSS COUNTRY ▫️Some days remind you why school sport is so much more than results. Our Cross Country was one of those days.
The participation was fantastic, but what really impressed us was the support. Students cheering for students. Waiting at the finish line. Encouraging friends who were finding it tough. Celebrating effort just as much as results.
The weather certainly helped, but it was every single one of our students what made an already beautiful day even better.

ART ▫️ Students in the 5-6 class learned about chiaroscuro in portraits during the Renaissance and Baroque periods, and viewed examples. They employed the grid method from the school photos and black and white images to assist them to apply tone using a greyscale. We are very impressed with their efforts.

ACC NETBALL ▫️ Our Senior Girls Netball team spent Friday competing in the ACC Netball Tournament.
Coached by Mrs King, the girls played with persistence, supported one another throughout the day and continued to give their best right to the end. While the scoreboard didn’t always fall in their favour, we were proud of the way the team kept showing up and giving their all. They beautifully represented HCP with a positive and resilient attitude. Well done girls.

FORTNIGHTLY QUOTE ▫️Our term theme, Responsibility, has encouraged us to reflect on what we value most, what matters deeply to us, and how we can care for these things well. One of the greatest gifts God has entrusted to us is one another.
Galatians 6:2 encourages us to “carry each other’s burdens”, and one of the ways we do that is by noticing when someone is struggling and choosing to step in beside them. Not taking the burden away completely, but helping carry some of the weight through kindness, encouragement, practical support and presence.
Community matters, and it is one of the things we love most about HCP - people willing to notice, care and walk alongside one another.

MOTHERS DAY SPA ▫️ Our KPP class welcomed their mums, grandmas and special friends into the classroom today to celebrate Mother’s Day.
It’s always such a beautiful morning - no distractions, just time for students to pamper, care for and simply enjoy being with someone special. There’s something so lovely about seeing the room filled with happy chatter, laughter and little moments of connection amongst the nail polish and paint fumes.
A truly wonderful morning for some of the most special people in our lives.
Happy Mother’s Day to all the mums, grandmas, carers and special people who love and care for all the children in our community.

Play In The Past ▫️ Last week our Year 1-2 students stepped back in time with a wonderful “Play in the Past” incursion, exploring history through hands-on play.
From vintage telephones and typewriters to old-fashioned games and household items, our students loved discovering how life has changed over time - asking questions, making comparisons, and fully immersing themselves in the experience.
What a fantastic opportunity to bring history to life for our little learners!

TERM TWO ▫️ A warm and happy welcome back to all our students and staff. It’s always so exciting to see fresh happy faces after holidays and hear their enthusiastic chatter.

TERM THEME ▫️ Our Term 2 focus is Responsibility.
Not just the kind that shows up in homework or chores, but the kind that asks us to notice, to step in, and to take ownership of the choices we make each day.
Through classroom learning and Bible lessons, students will explore how responsibility plays out in real life
- often in the small, quiet moments that shape who we are becoming.
It’s a simple idea, but a powerful one - and we’re excited to see it grow across our school this term.
