BUSH SCHOOL ▫️It’s that time of year again and our Yr 1-2 students have the opportunity to spend an afternoon in the bush. Working together, getting dirty, wading through water and exploring the natural environment around them.

They are learning as they go, following their interests and figuring things out together. What a blessing.

MENTAL MATHS ▫️ Such a beautiful day to exercise little brains in the fresh air. A bit of mental maths for our Yr 3-4 class, some sunshine and all the goodness that comes from being outside.

PYJAMA DAY ▫️ PJ Day is one of those days that brings our school community together.

Our primary Student Councillors organise this fundraiser each year in support of National Pyjama Day, raising money for children living in foster care across Australia.

Thank you to everyone from Kindy to Yr 12 who pulled on their PJs, grabbed a hot chocolate or cookie, and got behind the day. Every dollar raised helps support children who need it.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF: Yr 5-6. It was a busy day in Yr 5-6! Between classwork, library, leadership games, wet weather lunchtime activities, D&T creative chaos and Auslan there was plenty happening from start to finish.

The best part? Seeing so many happy faces and smiles still shining at the end of the day.

FOOD TECH ▫️ Yesterday, our Year 7-9 students enjoyed a fantastic nutrition incursion with Susie White from Nourish with Susie.

Students learned about healthy eating during adolescence before getting hands-on in the kitchen, creating cacao raw balls, berry and spinach smoothies, and vegetarian pizza muffins. It was wonderful to see them learning, collaborating, and trying new things together.

A big thank you to Susie for sharing her knowledge and inspiring students with practical ideas for healthy eating.

SPIRITUAL QUOTE ▫️Our term theme of Responsibility is teaching us that some of the most important things we’re entrusted with are the people around us and the communities we belong to.

We are building a picture of responsibility that looks like showing up, lending a hand, doing our part, and serving others with a willing heart.

These everyday choices help build a strong and caring community. As Colossians reminds us, our motivation goes beyond recognition from others. We seek to serve wholeheartedly because, ultimately, our work is for God.

ART ▫️These fabulous torn paper owls have been constructed by the 3-4 students. They viewed the work of Australian artist Anna-Wili Highfield who achieved success via the internet not the usual way through exhibitions.

They chose to represent a particular species in flight or perched. They practiced drawing from photos and painted their own paper.

CROSS COUNTRY ▫️ Some days remind you why school sport is so much more than results. Our Cross Country was one of those days.

The participation was fantastic, but what really impressed us was the support. Students cheering for students. Waiting at the finish line. Encouraging friends who were finding it tough.

Celebrating effort just as much as results.

The weather certainly helped, but it was every single one of our students who made an already beautiful day even better.
