🎄Christmas Eve Movie Day (24/12/2025)🎄

Happy Christmas Eve!!!

Today the children spent the morning doing some crafting making Christmas Tree Ornaments made with felt. They used glue and glitter to create their special ornaments.

They ate Pancakes for morning tea🥞

Some children helped take down the Christmas decorations around the centre while other children helped clean and organise the chairs and tables.

We then gathered in the movie room and watched Home Alone 3 before lunchtime where the children enjoyed eating Lettuce cups filled with their choice of mince, carrot, cheese, mayo, tomato and cucumber.

After Home Alone 3 the children suggested watching Home Alone 2 for The rest of the afternoon🎞️

🍪🎄🎅🏻Christmas Cookie Decorating (23/12/2025) 🍪🎄🎅🏻
This morning we took advantage of the cool breeze and applied our sunscreen got out hats on and headed outside to play before it got too hot, the children had lots of fun playing basketball, built sandcastles and took turns on the swing. ⛹️‍♂️☀️🌳

We enjoyed some cheese toasties for morning tea.

After morning tea the children got ready to make Christmas cookies. The children took turns helping to measure and add all the ingredients.

Passing the bowl around the circle each child had a turn at mixing all the ingredients together. With their piece of cookie dough the children flattened it out and chose from a variety of different Christmas cookie cutters they shared them around the table and talked to each other about what shape they would make their cookies.🍪

For lunch the children enjoyed some chicken nuggets and chips, vegetarian springs rolls and left over cheese toasties from morning tea.

After lunchtime the children participated in the Christmas Quiz, 1st to 4th place received a prize. Then, all the cookies were finally baked and ready for the children to decorate with sprinkles, sour gummy worms and icing.

Fruit and the Christmas Cookies were for afternoon tea. The children enjoyed eating their special creations! We then spent the rest of the afternoon watching the Lorax🧡

🎅🏻🎄Christmas Arts & Crafts Day (22/12/2025)🎄🎅🏻
We’re 3 days out from Christmas and the children are so excited!

Today at LiL MiKi’s we had Christmas arts and crafts day, for the first half of the morning the children had fun playing games of uno, chess, pool, skip no, giant snakes and ladders and engaging in make believe play in the home corner. We breaked for morning tea to which we had strawberry and vanilla yoghurt with oats.

After morning tea we got stuck into getting artistic, we had two different Christmas crafts too do, one was wooden Christmas tree ornaments that the children used coloured texters to colour in and design the ornament, when they had finished the educator took a photo of them that then went in the photo part of if it, the other activity was chiding two different Christmas plaster ornaments to paint, they had a pallet of different paint colours they could use as they began painting the Christmas ornament, all the children took turns while the children that didn’t want to do crafts happily did other games and activities.



We packed away and tided up the room after a busy morning of playing and having fun and began to get ready for lunch, for lunch we had yummy Mac and cheese with a Grinch Christmas twist the pasta a sauce was green, the children thought it was super cool and really enjoyed it.

To have a rest and let our lunch settle we headed to the movie room where we watched a movie called ‘That Christmas’.

For the rest of the day the children played games, made loom bands, did some Christmas colouring ins and activity sheets and listened to some Christmas tunes. It has been a really fun day!

🎊🎄Kids Christmas Party (19/12/2025)🎄🎊

Today marked the first day of the school holidays, and what a wonderful way to begin! The children had an amazing time celebrating our annual Kids Christmas Party at the Forrestfield Centre. The atmosphere was full of excitement and joy as Santa and the elves came to visit.🎅

The elves added extra magic to the day by doing special face painting with the children, which everyone absolutely loved. Santa spent quality time with the children, playing games such as Uno and a game of pool, creating lots of laughter and special moments. The children were thrilled to receive gifts from Santa, making the experience even more memorable.

In the afternoon, everyone enjoyed delicious party food while sharing stories and smiles with friends. The children were fully engaged, happy, and excited throughout the day, making it a truly fun and festive start to the holidays.🎄✨

Happy Birthday to our lovely centre manager Kaylee!! May your day be filled with lots of love and have been spoilt from Ethan and family.

We are deeply saddened to hear about the heartbreaking passing of this precious child and want to extend our sincere condolences to the family. They were once a part of our daycare community, and we remember them with warmth and affection

No words can ease the pain of such a tremendous loss, but we hope the family finds strength, comfort, and support during this unimaginably difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with them, and with everyone who loved this sweet little one

Today we celebrate our very first baby of 7 years and where it all started for Michaela, to be continuing to run the business and opening our woody centre a couple of years later we couldn’t do it without the support of our families!!

To all our families that have supported us or are continuing to support us over the years thank you so much, we love and appreciate all families and couldn’t do it without you so once again thank you!

Michaela you are such an amazing owner and work exceptionally hard. As a person you are a unique and have special quality no one can take away from you.
