What an amazing week we have had filled with wonderful outings, fun play dates, and exciting park visits. We wrapped up the week with so many joyful moments, lots of laughter, and beautiful memories to cherish. Watching the children explore, play, and build friendships has truly been the highlight of our week. 💕🌿✨

International Day of Play – 11 June 2026
Theme: Protect Play, Protect Childhood 🤗
Today was a wonderful celebration of play, learning, and childhood! The children enjoyed a day filled with loose parts play, outdoor adventures, creative painting experiences, and sharing lunch together with their friends.

The highlight of our day was watching the children freely play and explore in the rain. Their laughter, excitement, and joy were truly magical as they splashed, discovered, and played until they were happily tired.

Play is so much more than fun—it is how children learn best. Through play, children develop intellectual, social, emotional, and physical skills. They build resilience, strengthen friendships, learn leadership skills, navigate social challenges, conquer fears, and make sense of the world around them.

Most importantly, play provides children with a safe space to express their imagination and creativity—essential skills for the innovative world they are growing up in.

Today reminded us why it is so important to protect play and protect childhood. 💚

What an amazing day we had at Suma’s FDC! The children had so much fun playing, exploring, and spending time with their friends. Thank you so much to Aspiri FDC and Chanda’s FDC for joining us and making the day so special. The children had an absolute blast and created wonderful memories together.
It was wonderful to connect with our community and make new friends. These special experiences create lasting memories that children will cherish for years to come. Family Day Care provides a warm and nurturing environment where children can build meaningful friendships, develop social skills, and enjoy learning through play. Days like these remind us how important it is for children to feel connected to their friends and community.
We are so grateful for this beautiful day and the joy it brought to everyone involved. The children will treasure these wonderful memories, and we look forward to many more fun-filled adventures together!

It was so lovely to finally have Simmi and her little boy join us for story time at the library. Thank you for spending time with us, Simmi. The children had so much fun with you both, especially enjoying stories, songs, and shared laughter.

Birds, Books and the Beauty of Makuru 🐦❄️📚

What an amazing day we had at the library today! 📚🐦

Lately, we have been noticing many colourful birds around us. The children have enjoyed watching them fly through the sky and listening to their cheerful chirping sounds each day. These moments have helped us feel connected to nature and curious about the world around us.

Today’s story time focused on the changing seasons, birds, and winter weather. We also learned about Makuru, the Noongar season of winter, which is a time of rain, cooler days, and renewal of the land.

Through stories, discussions, and observations, the children explored how birds adapt to the changing weather and how nature changes during the winter season. It was a wonderful opportunity to learn about the environment, Aboriginal perspectives, and the beauty of the natural world around us.

Having a big sister is such a beautiful blessing. She lovingly takes care of her little brother, helping him learn to walk, guiding him as he grows, and always being there to support him. The special bond between a big sister and her little brother is filled with love, kindness, and precious moments that create wonderful memories together.

Today, the children enjoyed a wonderful mindfulness experience, taking a moment to slow down, relax, and connect with themselves and the world around them. These simple moments of mindfulness help children feel calm, balanced, and confident while supporting their emotional wellbeing.

It was lovely to see their peaceful smiles and positive energy throughout the day.
