Our in school cooking programs are linked to the curriculum and are made up of a compact mobile teaching kitchen specifically designed for schools and Cook In A Box modules that can be chosen by stage/year, desired outcome and number of students. Our aim is to teach children age appropriate basic cooking skills that they will be able to replicate in the home with confidence. Furthermore the participation and family interaction that this will lead to has many social and health benefits. The classes are fun, engaging and hands on, allowing children to cook a dish from start to finish, where possible using school garden ingredients. Get Kids Cooking allows primary schools to offer cooking classes with no investment in capital infrastructure, no lesson planning by teachers, no equipment or long term commitment. Every child has different learning styles, concentrations spans and levels of co-ordination.
