Today, we acknowledge Mabo Day and honour the life and legacy of Eddie Koiki Mabo, whose determination and courage helped change Australia's understanding of land ownership and justice.
Mabo Day commemorates the historic 1992 High Court decision that recognised the rights of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to their traditional lands and overturned the legal concept of terra nullius.
At Goodstart Forest Lake Boulevard, we recognise the importance of learning about and respecting the histories, cultures, and contributions of First Nations peoples. Through meaningful conversations and experiences, we support children in developing an appreciation for the rich cultural heritage that has existed on this land for tens of thousands of years.
Today, we reflect on the significance of Mabo Day and continue our commitment to fostering respect, inclusion, and reconciliation within our community.

Today is World Autism Awareness Day 💙
A day to celebrate neurodiversity, amplify autistic voices, and promote understanding and acceptance. Autism is not something to be “fixed” — it’s a different way of experiencing and interacting with the world.
Let’s move beyond awareness and into acceptance:
respect, and celebrate differences
Kindness, patience, and understanding can make a world of difference.
