🏕️ Year 6 Camp – Day 3! 💙

And just like that, they’re home! Tired, happy and full of stories to tell after a few days of adventure, teamwork and fun. A huge thank you to our wonderful staff who gave their time, energy and care to make camp such a memorable experience for our Year 6 students. 🌟 Enjoy your sleep tonight!

🔬✨ Science Week! ✨🔬

Our students have been exploring, investigating, questioning and discovering throughout Science Week! From hands-on experiments to exciting STEM challenges, there has been plenty of curiosity and creativity in action. 🧪🚀

A huge thank you to our amazing STEM teachers for all their hard work, creativity and enthusiasm in making Science Week such a fantastic experience for our students! 👏💡

☁️ Day 2 at camp was another action-packed day for Year 6! Fishing, high ropes, circus skills, big swings, boogie boarding and archery kept everyone busy, with plenty of teamwork, encouragement and laughter along the way. The rain clouds certainly didn’t dampen the fun! 🌊

Forest Lake State School Playgroup
Forest Lake State School Playgroup is open every Friday from 9:00-10:30am. All families with children aged 0-5 years are warmly welcomed to join in the FLSS library for Playgroup. There is no cost to families to attend. Don’t forget to bring along your own morning tea. We look forward to connecting with you soon. 🏕️ Year 6 Camp – Day 1! 🌊

What a way to kick off camp! Big swings, boogie boarding, archery and plenty of fun, laughter and adventure. Day 1 has been a big one! 🤩

Author Visit

We have the amazing privilege of welcoming guest speaker and book writer extraordinaire, Nat Amoore to Forest Lake State School. She will be kicking off Book Week 2026 for our students and sharing her passion of storytelling with us all. Nat is an enthusiastic, and larger-than-life character that students will love and she will guarantee some deep belly laughs!

11:30 – 12:30pm (Years 4 – 5)
12:30-1:30pm (Years 1-3)
Where: PAC

After the presentation, Nat will be signing books and answering any student questions. If you would like to purchase a book for your student, please use the QR code. These will be delivered to Forest Lake and ready for the event.

🐛🌱 Our Year 4 students are putting sustainability into action! They’ve been setting up their worm farm as part of their English unit, where they’re preparing persuasive speeches to encourage others to take up sustainability initiatives. 🌏💚
