Established in 1862 our school remains committed to providing innovative, varied and challenging learning programs that meet the needs of our diverse group of students. We have continued to encourage high expectations in all academic, cultural, social and sporting endeavours and as a school we strongly believe that it is the quality of teaching and the school programs that we offer that will impac

t significantly on the lives andlearning achievements of our students. Forbes Public School has approximately 285 students in 16 classes including a learning centre. It has two computer labs - one as an integral part of the library - and Smartboards (electronic interactive whiteboards) in all classrooms. It is situated in Central Western New South Wales in the Forbes Shire. The area is rich in history and boasts a number of beautiful buildings - a legacy of the gold rush years of the 1800s. We have created this page to provide you with a place to interact as a community and to provide you with timely information about what is happening at our school. We would like this page to be friendly, active and helpful with the interaction around the primary goal of educating our children.
