Mitchell Conservatorium would like to pay cumulative respect for the passing of Archibald William Roach AM (8 January 1956 – 30 July 2022).
Archie was an Australian musician and Aboriginal activist. He was a singer, songwriter, and guitarist, and also a Gunditjmara and Bundjalung elder and campaigner for the rights of Indigenous Australians.
His musical voice inspired and gave power to many. His legacy will live on to inspire future generations.

Music in the Regions and Mitchell Conservatorium proudly present one of Australia’s most dynamic chamber music groups - Omega Ensemble - on their Winter Regional Tour.

Touring the Central West including Forbes, Parkes and Canowindra from the 22nd to 31st of July, Omega Ensemble will present a stunning program of musical works, from Mozart’s cherished Clarinet Quintet to an exciting world premiere by Australian composer Carl Vine.

Forbes: Friday 22nd July, Forbes Town Hall at 7pm
Parkes: Saturday 23rd July, Cooke Park Pavilion at 2pm & 7pm
Canowindra: Sunday 24th July, All Saints’ Anglican Church at 2pm

Music in the Regions has a simple mandate: to provide high quality classical music to audiences hungry for rich cultural experiences across regional New South Wales. From small ensembles to chamber orchestras, familiar names to emerging talents - this is the time for a different sort of rhythm.

Throughout July of 2022, Microfiche will be embarking on an epic 10-destination East-Coast tour!
From big cities to beautiful regional NSW, they'll be stopping off in Hobart, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra, Bellingen, Armidale, Bathurst, Forbes and Cobar.
With two of our Con's presenting Microfiche, you can catch them from our Bathurst Campus or from our Forbes Campus.
They'll be presenting music from their most recent album, alongside new compostions, inspired improvisations, and even conducting compositional workshops for our students.
