Winston Glades Early Education Centre

Winston Glades Early Education Centre Welcome to Winston Glades Early Education Centre & Pre-School. Our Centre has been rated EXCELLENT in the National Quality Standard.

We cater for 117 children aged from birth to school age. Winston Glades Early Education Centre and Preschool is located in Flinders View near the Winston Glades Shopping Complex. Our locality makes us very convenient to families who work in the area. Our aim is to provide the highest standard of care to you, the families, as well as to the children who are within our care. Our Centre celebrates di

versity, welcoming families with different cultures and backgrounds. We are committed to the implementation of the National Early Years Learning Framework and operate an Emergent Curriculum. Our program is based on the individual needs of the children in our care. Our program is balanced and developmentally appropriate. It has variations, providing for a wide range of individual experiences. These experiences give the children the opportunity to make choices and take on new challenges. Our centre programs are based on the individual child, thus ensuring it does not exclude any one child. Our goal is to inspire delight, curiosity, and inquiry in the classroom. Our Centre is pleased to be operating a Queensland Government approved Kindergarten Program with a qualified Early Childhood Teacher. This program is aimed at preparing our pre-prep children for primary school. Our Centre implements the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline and focuses on building upon children’s learning and development including literacy and numeracy skills as well as exploring the foundations of mathematics and science. We are committed to developing and building on community partnerships with local schools, Teachers and families to ensure children are being well prepared for their school years. We are proud to be a recognised Nature Play QLD Education Provider. Our Centre runs fortnightly Bush Kindy Sessions at the local council bush land adjacent to the Centre. As part of our Bush Kindy Program, we learn all about the world around us and connect with nature whilst always acknowledging the traditional landowners – the Yaggera people. Children are given the chance to explore and learn new things, climbing, running and inadvertently expanding upon their gross motor skills. Exploring the plants, trees, rocks and water creates spontaneous conversation, interactions and valuable risk-taking opportunities. The sessions are unstructured and initiated by the children, to inspire problem solving and promote self-confidence. We are also partnered with a local swim centre to provide swimming lessons for children aged 3 to 5 years. The aim of these weekly swimming lessons is to teach the children about water safety. Winston Glades EEC are proud to be recognised as an Ageless Play QLD Education Provider. We are partnered with a local Nursing Homes where once a month the children visit the residents to help bridge the generational gaps and participate in a range of activities. Contact our Nominated Supervisor today to find out more or arrange a tour of our Centre! 😊

Sometimes the simplest things spark the biggest imaginations. 🌿

When children create their own tea party from loose parts, they’re not just playing: they’re imagining, collaborating, problem solving and creating a world of their own.

💚 The Future Starts With Us! 💚

Today, on Early Childhood Educators’ Day, we celebrate the people at the heart of QCCS, our incredible educators and early childhood professionals.

Every day, you build confidence, teach kindness, inspire curiosity and help children feel safe, valued and ready to explore their world. Through every learning experience, encouraging word and moment of care, you help lay the foundations for their future.

You matter. Your profession matters. The work you do everyday matters.

Whether you’ve been in early childhood for twenty years or twenty days, thank you for the knowledge, patience, compassion and commitment you bring to our children and families.
We see you. We value you. We appreciate you.

“The Future Starts With Us!” reminds us that the foundations you help children build today can open a world of possibilities tomorrow. ✨

Thank you for supporting our children, partnering with our families and making QCCS a place where little people can achieve great things.

You matter. You make a difference. And you deserve to be celebrated. 💚Together, we’re “Achieving great things with little people.”

Happy Educators’ Day!

“Sometimes, the smallest moments become the biggest memories.”

Book Week has been a wonderful reminder of how important it is to slow down, take a moment, and get lost in a good story.

We have loved celebrating the joy of books together, spending time reading some of our favourite stories, sharing laughs, discovering new characters, and enjoying the magic that comes from turning the pages of a book.

In our busy little world, taking the time to pause, snuggle up with a story, and let our imaginations wander is so important.

A big thank you to everyone who helped make Book Week so special! We hope the love of reading continues long after Book Week has finished.

Don’t forget our Book Fair is on this week and next week! There are lots of wonderful books to discover and take home. Happy reading!

Today we’re celebrating “National Eat Outside Day” by embracing the joy of sharing meals in the fresh air. At QCCS, every mealtime is enjoyed using a family style dining approach, where children come together to share nutritious meals, practice independence and develop positive social connections. When the opportunity arises to take our meals outdoors, it adds another layer of fun! Encouraging children to connect with nature while enjoying meaningful conversations with their friends and educators creates a calm and welcoming environment where children build confidence and learn valuable mealtime skills that will stay with them for years to come.

Today we’re celebrating “More Herbs, Less Salt Day” by highlighting the simple ingredients that bring so much flavour to the meals we prepare at Healthy Cooking Company. Our kitchens create delicious, nourishing meals with a variety of fresh herbs and aromatic spices. From fragrant basil and parsley to warming cinnamon and colourful paprika, these natural flavours help children develop a love of wholesome foods while supporting healthy eating habits from an early age. Introducing children to a wide range of herbs and spices encourages adventurous eating and shows that healthy meals can be full of flavour without relying on added salt. Herbs are also a great plant to grow in your garden, emphasizing the farm to plate approach for your family. What is your favourite herb to grow or cook with?
