💙 Rock & Water in Action! 💙

Our Rock & Water students are doing an amazing job putting their skills into practice!

This week, students took on the Cup & String Challenge, where they had to work together to stack the cups without touching them with their hands.

It might look like a simple game, but it takes plenty of communication, teamwork, patience, self-control and problem-solving. Students quickly discovered that when one person rushed, tried to control the situation or pulled too hard, the whole team was affected, a great connection to Rock & Water and learning how our actions can impact others.

Lots of laughs, a little frustration, plenty of persistence and some fantastic teamwork! 🙌

Come along and celebrate the incredible creativity and talent of our students across Music, Dance, Drama, Visual Arts and Media Arts, as well as our exciting extra-curricular activities - Show Band, Show Choir, Stage Band, String Ensemble, Dance Troupe, and Drama Club!

The cool mornings are still with us, so please ensure your student is wearing the correct school jumper.

From Week 5, students wearing a non-uniform jumper will be asked to hand it in at the office.
📌 First and second confiscations: A text message will be sent to parents/carers, and students can collect the jumper at the end of the school day.
📌 Third and subsequent confiscations: Parents/carers will be required to collect the jumper from the school office.

Thank you for your support in maintaining our school uniform standards.

🎓 Year 7 2027 Enrolment Interview Event - 19 August 🎓

Is your child starting Year 7 next year? Enrolments are open for 2027 and our first enrolment event is just around the corner!

🎭🎶 Senior Performance Evening 🎨✨

On Thursday, we held our Senior Performance Evening, where our Year 11 and 12 Music and Drama students performed their IA3 assessment pieces! We also had a beautiful art gallery showcasing the incredible work of our Visual Arts students. 🎨

Congratulations to all of our talented students, staff and Tech Crew members involved in making the evening such a success! 👏 A huge thank you to all the staff, families and community members who came along to support our students. ❤️

We’re so proud of everyone involved and the wonderful work they shared on the night!

Week 6 (17-21st August) is Science Week!

During the week we are celebrating the “Seeds of Science” and there will be plenty of activities for students to get involved with during first break in the Science Courtyard (out the front of SL01).

Come along each day and create something from seed or explore science as it grows!

Monday: Sprout a Bean Sprout
Create your mini garden and grow a bean sprout (take home Friday)

Tuesday: Salty Snowflake
Examine the formation of salt crystals in front of your eyes (take home at the end of the day)

Wednesday: Cress Heads
Create a cup person and give them a head of cress hair (take home Friday)

Thursday: Seed Bombs
Place seeds in a ball of soil, nutrients and water. Take home and place in your own garden (take home at the end of the day)

Come along and get involved with the Science team and explore the science of seeds!
