Drummoyne Toastmasters Club would like to wish our very own Marc Bourrigan all the very best at the 2026 District 70 Area 31 International & Evaluation Speech Contest this weekend.
Marc is a long-term, dedicated club member who consistently delivers thoughtful, high quality speeches. We’re incredibly proud to see him representing our club at this level.

Summer, speeches and a great first meeting back!
We kicked off the year in true Summer style, with plenty of laughs, personal summer stories and some fun table topic responses. The room was buzzing and everyone really leaned into the theme.
We heard two standout speeches:
Oscar wowed us with his Ice Breaker speech, with more about him and his work, a confident, engaging debut that took out Best Speech!.
Lydia took us to Melbourne and the Australian Open with her speech, winning the Marjorie Seddon Award.
And if that sounds familiar, it should! This isn’t Lidia’s first Marjorie Seddon Award. Over the past year she’s been recognised multiple times for her engaging speeches and for always jumping in to do additional roles, helping our meetings run smoothly.
A fun, relaxed night and the perfect way to launch the Toastmasters year ahead. Bring on more stories, more laughs and more great speeches!
Next up: the club International Speech & Evaluation Contest on Wednesday 11th February. See you there!

Get ready — our final meeting of the year is almost here, and we’re wrapping things up with a fun and festive Christmas-themed celebration!
This week’s meeting will have everything you love about Toastmasters, with a little extra sparkle: light-hearted speeches, merry Table Topics, plenty of laughs, and a wonderful chance to celebrate the year we’ve had together.
Whether you’ve been a regular all year or it’s been a little while since your last visit, we’d love to see you there. Come along, join the fun, and help us finish 2025 on a joyful note.
