Our future Kindy students for 2027 had their first play date at school today! It was lovely to see all their smiling faces as they played games, coloured pictures and met other students who will be with them next year. We can’t wait to see our new Kindies again next week at our second play date.

On Monday, students in years 3 to 6 met Nathan Luff, a published Author, as part of our Book Week celebrations. Nathan engaged the students with many of his childhood memories, which he drew inspiration from when writing his novels.
During the author workshop, Nathan emphasised the importance of an opening line, including the small details in character descriptions and above all, continual rewriting of sentences to improve quality.

Congratulations to these three teams: the Flames, Falcons and Firestorm for representing our school with respect and integrity at today’s Netball NSW Gala Day. The main objective was fun and it was certainly achieved. The resilience displayed by each and every one of the 28 students involved was admirable and we have no doubt they will sleep soundly tonight, knowing they gave it their all 💚

A HUGE thank you to the wonderful parents and grandparents that came out to support our students - especially Zanthe’s mum Nicole, Maddie’s mum Jay, Amelia’s mum Alison and Brayden’s grandmother Kim - for dedicating all 6 hours to either coaching or umpiring for us. We would not be able to provide this wonderful opportunity to so many of our students without your expertise and generous support.

Every Wednesday, our students meet in the gardening group to learn and have fun together. They have been planting strawberries, lettuce, broccoli and marigolds in our school garden. We have also started growing tomato, carrot, and capsicum seeds in trays. We are excited to see how our veggies grow. Stay tuned for more garden updates!
