Yesterday I finally got to visit my little corner of Toowoomba for the Floral Friday project.

My site is at The Lighthouse, diagonally across the intersection from beautiful Queens Park, and I am VERY excited about what these windows are about to become.

I’ve spent a lot of time collecting inspiration, thinking about colour, flowers, birds and all the little details that might make their way into the finished mural.

I haven’t put pencil to paper yet… but I have a feeling it’s going to be something pretty special.

I’ll be sharing some of my inspiration shots soon, so you can come along for the beginning of the process.

For now… here’s a little peek at the blank canvas.

2 hours of painting in 42 seconds.

This may be a very fast time-lapse of the Galah painting experience I held yesterday, but it is still so relaxing to watch it all come together.

Another amazing day at the Ipswich Art Workshop.

Met some more amazing people today and had great chats with Amanda Laing and Katherine McNamara about their exhibition, They May be Small, next door at the Ipswich Community Gallery + Ipswich Art Workshop

See you all back there in three weeks to paint a Magpie

I woke up this morning and the weather is just stunning. There is not a cloud in the sky. The EKKA winds have ceased (atleast for now) and the birds are singing.

Today is the perfect day to have a "me day" and recharge.

I will be painting all day at the Ipswich Art Workshops if you would like to join me for a couple of hours.

You can also pop in next door at the Ipswich Community Gallery and meet the incredibly talented Amanda and Katherine. Their exhibition, They May be Small, runs until Sunday.

Feeling a little scrambled after the public holiday?

Hey, I get it. 😂

The routine has been interrupted, the kids have been entertained, the EKKA has happened… and now somehow we’re supposed to just slide straight back into normal life?

Maybe tomorrow is a good day to reset.

Two quiet hours.
A little paint.
Something to focus on.

No mental load required.

Just a chance to sit down, make something with your hands and give yourself a little time to regroup.

Tomorrow’s Cobradah Painting Experience might be exactly the reset you need.

Because sometimes you don't need to do more.

You just need to pause.

There are still a few spots available for tomorrow at Ipswich Art Workshops.
