๐ฆ Spread Fun, Not Flu! ๐๐
As we move through flu season, we all have an important role to play in keeping our school community healthy. The best way to protect our students, staff and families is to keep children at home when they are unwell.
Please keep your child home if they have symptoms of an acute respiratory illness (ARI), including:
โข ๐ค Fever
โข ๐ท Cough
โข ๐ฎโ๐จ Difficulty breathing
โข ๐คง Runny or blocked nose
โข ๐ฃ Sore throat
โข ๐ช Muscle or joint pain
โข ๐ด Tiredness or extreme fatigue
โข ๐ค Headache
โข ๐คข Sometimes unusual stomach problems
If your child needs medication to bring down a fever or to mask a cough or runny nose so they can attempt to get through the school day, they are still unwell and should remain at home until they are feeling better. While we know it can be inconvenient, staying home when sick is one of the kindest ways we can protect classmates, staff and other families.
If you are concerned about your child's symptoms, please contact your GP, healthcare provider or call 13 HEALTH (13 43 25 84) for advice.
Thank you for helping us look after one another. By doing the right thing and keeping unwell children at home, we can reduce the spread of illness and help keep everyone learning, healthy and thriving. ๐
