💙🦖 Blue Water Slime Fun in Senior Toddlers! 🦖💙

Yesterday, our Senior Toddlers got stuck into some squishy, stretchy and slimy sensory fun! The children loved poking, squeezing, stretching and squishing the slime, then added dinosaurs for some extra messy, imaginative play. 🦕 They were fascinated watching the slime stretch through their fingers and were VERY excited when Miss Wendy made slime bubbles for them to pop! 🫧😂

It was a fantastic experience for exploring textures, cause and effect, fine motor skills and building confidence while having lots of messy fun! 💙

🌟 Huge congratulations to our amazing Prekindy Lead educator, Kieah, for winning Educator of the Month! 🌟

This special recognition is incredibly meaningful because it was voted for entirely by our wonderful families and children.💖

Kieah brings so much joy, energy and care into the Prekindy room every single day! Whether she is sparking children's imaginations, comforting a child who needs a extra hug or finding creative ways to make learning fun, her dedication shines bright. It is no surprise to us that our community chose to celebrate her this month!

Through The Colour Monster, children are exploring the idea that all feelings are okay — happiness, sadness, anger, fear, calm and everything in between.

Learning to recognise our own emotions and notice emotions in others helps children begin to understand that feelings are something we can name, express and work through.

We don’t need to change how we feel. We can learn to understand our feelings and choose how we respond to them. 🤍

Every emotion has a place. Every feeling is worth understanding. It is what we do with that emotion that counts!

🦙✨ Alpaca Fun at Journey Fernvale! ✨🦙

Miss Hannah’s alpacas recently had a haircut and she brought some of their beautiful fleece in for the children to explore!

One of our very talented Journey mums, who is an artist and owner of Cobradah Studio created a wonderful alpaca poster for us. The children then used the alpaca fleece to create their own fluffy artwork! 🎨🦙

We love these special community connections that bring children’s learning to life and allow our families to share their talents and experiences with us. 💛
