2027 ENROLMENTS — HELP US PLAN FOR NEXT YEAR

Planning for the 2027 school year is already underway at Fernvale State School.

We look forward to welcoming our new Prep students to transition activities this term. Enrolled Prep families have received the schedule from Mrs Eugster.

If your child is starting Prep in 2027 and is not yet enrolled, it’s not too late. We encourage families to enrol as soon as possible so their child can be included in our important transition program and supported as they prepare for school.

If your family is moving or your child will not be continuing at Fernvale State School in 2027, please contact the school office to let us know. This information helps us plan class arrangements and staffing for next year.

STATE GIRLS CHESS FINALS

This Friday, two teams from Fernvale State School will compete at the Gardiner Chess Queensland State Girls Finals!

We wish our students the very best of luck. We’re proud of their hard work and dedication and hope they enjoy this exciting opportunity.

A special thank you to Miss Jule and Miss McMaster for supporting and mentoring our female chess students in the lead-up to the competition. We also thank Mrs Turkington for helping with transport on the day.

YEAR 4 CAMP — 4B HEADS OFF TODAY!

The adventure begins today for our 4B students, who are heading to Numinbah Environmental Education Centre for their Year 4 camp!

📅 Monday, 12 October – Tuesday, 13 October 2026
🌿 Numinbah Environmental Education Centre

Over the next two days, students will have opportunities to learn, explore, challenge themselves and grow through a range of outdoor learning experiences.

Camp is a wonderful opportunity to build independence, strengthen friendships, connect with nature and create some fantastic memories together.

We wish our 4B students and staff a safe journey and an amazing camp experience!

FUN FRIDAY – COLOUR ME HAPPY!

What a colourful way to kick off Term 4!

A huge THANK YOU to all our wonderful students and staff who embraced our very first Fun Friday – Colour Me Happy!

It was fantastic to see so many bright, bold and cheerful colours around Fernvale State School today, bringing smiles, positivity and a wonderful sense of school spirit!

WHY FUN FRIDAYS?
Our Term 4 Fun Fridays are about much more than dressing up! They’re a simple but meaningful way to:

⭐️Promote positive engagement – Creating fun opportunities for students to feel excited, included and connected to school.

⭐️Build stronger connections – Strengthening relationships between students, staff and our school community.

⭐️ Support wellbeing and belonging – Encouraging happiness, confidence, inclusion and a positive school environment.

⭐️ Celebrate school spirit – Bringing our school community together through shared experiences, laughter and fun!

Participation is always optional, and everyone is encouraged to join in however they feel comfortable.

YEAR 5 PARENT MEETING — THANK YOU!

A big thank you to the Year 5 parents and caregivers who joined us last night for our Year 6 Graduation Dinner Planning Meeting.

We’re grateful for your time, ideas and enthusiasm as we begin planning a special celebration for our Year 6 students graduating in 2026.

Your support will help make their Graduation Dinner a wonderful and memorable occasion. We’re looking forward to working together to make it special!

A huge congratulations to our talented Fernvale State School students who participated in Bandtastic on Wednesday and Thursday!

What a wonderful opportunity for our young musicians to further develop their instrumental skills, build confidence, collaborate with fellow musicians and share their passion for music!

We are incredibly proud of the enthusiasm, commitment and dedication demonstrated by our students throughout this fantastic experience.

We extend our sincere appreciation to Mr Schiller for his dedication, encouragement and ongoing commitment to our Instrumental Music Program. His passion for music education and support of our young musicians help create valuable opportunities for students to learn, grow and achieve.

Thank you also to the organisers, instructors and everyone involved in making Bandtastic such a rewarding experience for our students.

Congratulations once again to all our Bandtastic participants! We are so proud of your efforts and the way you represented Fernvale State School!
