🥚 We had a cracking Thursday morning! 🥚
A big thank you to one of our friends for bringing in a dozen fresh eggs for us to explore. 💛
The children were full of questions: "How many eggs are there?" and "Can we touch them?" We counted all 12 eggs, felt the smooth shells, and noticed they came in different colours.
Then we decided to turn our discovery into lunch! 🍳 Each child carefully cracked an egg, took turns whisking the mixture, added a splash of milk, and together we made delicious scrambled eggs.
It was an egg-cellent hands-on learning experience that ended with lots of smiles and some very happy tummies!

The children have had a strong interest in finding treasure, which has led us into an exciting Pirate Theme Week!
One of our schoolies created a treasure map, and the children have been thrilled to follow it to the “X marks the spot” 🗺️💰
Our pirate tuff tray has been a big hit, with little explorers digging through sand and sea, uncovering hidden treasure and discovering the treasure chest along the way.
There’s been so much excitement, curiosity, and imaginative play as the children explore like real pirates on a treasure hunt! 🏴‍☠️✨💎
And of course… we couldn’t resist a few pirate jokes along the way:
Why are pirates called pirates? Because they arrrr!
What’s a pirates favourite letter?
Everyone thinks it’s R….but it’s actually the C!⚓️🏴‍☠️

Last Monday was International Dinosaur Day🦕🦖
So we filled our tuff tray with, buckets of shaving cream, green food colouring, flowers and dinosaurs. The children mixed, scoop, squish the foam.
The messy fun was a real Dino-mite hit, with plenty of smiles, laughter and imaginative play along the way!

Recently the children have been exploring space, inspired by Artemis II travelling around the dark side of the moon and safely returning 🌙🚀
The children painted and created their own rocket ships, then explored space through our tuff trays filled with black beans, soup mix, planets, the moon and satellites.
So much imagination and hands-on learning — the children were over the moon! 🌟
3…2…1… blast off… this week was truly out of this world! ✨

This week we explored The Very Hungry Caterpillar 🐛🍎
With today being Very Hungry Caterpillar Day, the children loved pointing to the caterpillar on each page in the book and spotting all the yummy food. They were so excited watching him grow… and grow… and grow… before turning into a beautiful butterfly! 🦋

We got creative too, making our own caterpillars, butterflies, and a very yummy fruit caterpillar 😋

It was a hungry kind of week… and let’s just say the fun was un-be-leaf-able! 🍃😄

This week the children made playdough and went on a nature walk for some “supplies.”
The final creations? Dragonflies, echidna's, burgers and happy faces!

This week the children explored the life cycle of sunflowers.
We’ve been watching them grow in our garden, and the children have been busy creating their own sunflower masterpieces! They painted paper plate sunflowers, coloured in sunflowers, and enjoyed a sensory experience using sunflower seeds and flowers. We also added goblets and bowls to encourage scooping, pouring and imaginative play.

It’s been a sun-sational week of learning! 🌻✨
