Chhay Academy was founded in 2010 by three, Cambodian immigrant brothers who were all cooperative scholarship recipients, as well as distinction graduates from the University of Technology Sydney. Having faced the rigorous and challenging schooling of the Australian educational system that they underwent themselves, as well as their friends and relatives, the three brothers were inspired and motiv

ated to open the academy. Chhay Academy started as a small outfit of tutors who believed that students could benefit from a unique system of support that is comprehensive and practical; however, the academy has made significant achievements. The academy believes that with genuine care and a rigorous academic support system, students could benefit greatly both in terms of grades as well as professional development. As a result, the combination of their practical tuition programs and their academic enrich courses have transformed of what used to be a five-student classroom to an over-one-hundred-students academy within one year. The success of the Chhay Academy is not made by accident; rather it is because of our dedicated team of young talented tutors who have committed to our students’ achievement. Not only do the tutors teach our students the core classes: mathematics, language arts, and science; but also empower our students to excel to their fullest potential, as well as stimulating their career aspirations through various enrichment courses.
