📚✨ What a fantastic Book Week Parade! ✨📚

What an incredible morning we had at Eynesbury Primary School on Friday as we celebrated Book Week with our annual Book Week Parade! 📖💫

We were absolutely blown away by the amazing costumes and, even more so, by the incredible number of students who chose to dress up and celebrate their favourite books and characters. From magical creatures and superheroes to beloved storybook characters, our school was bursting with colour, creativity and imagination! 🧙‍♀️🦸‍♂️🐉👑

The parade was a wonderful opportunity to bring our school community together and celebrate our shared love of reading. It was fantastic to see so many smiling faces and to share such a special morning with our students, staff and families. ❤️

A huge thank you also goes to some of our wonderful Education Support staff who went above and beyond to set up and run a range of fun, book-themed activities for students to enjoy during recess and lunch. Your creativity, enthusiasm and hard work helped make Book Week even more special for our students! 🌟📚

Thank you to everyone who helped make the day such a wonderful celebration. We are already looking forward to next year’s Book Week! 📖💙

Eynesbury Primary School Takes on the Basketball Court!

On Monday 24th, 17 students were lucky enough to head to Cobblebank Stadium to represent Eynesbury Primary School at a basketball tournament. Everyone arrived excited, enthusiastic and ready to give it their best!
Our fantastic coaches, Ms Price (Nat) and Mr B (Nick), got the students engaged straight away with warm-ups, skills and tactics to help them perform at their best. We were also lucky enough to have the boys play first, followed by the girls on the same court. This meant both teams could get out there and support one another throughout the day.
The girls gave every game their absolute best. With some players who were completely new to the sport, they showed incredible enthusiasm, teamwork and resilience. They finished the day with three losses and an impressive win! Nat did an amazing job of bringing the girls together as a team, encouraging them to support one another and celebrate each other's efforts. By the end of the day, the girls were cheering for each other, working together and really showing what it means to be part of a team.
The boys also played extremely well and showed fantastic teamwork and determination. Mr B provided some great advice and encouragement throughout each game, helping the team make the most of every opportunity. Although they finished the day with three losses and one draw, they played their hearts out and never gave up.
What made the day even more special was seeing the encouragement and support between all of our students. Whether they were on the court or cheering from the sidelines, everyone showed what it means to be part of a team.
As a school, we are incredibly proud of every student who represented Eynesbury Primary School. You showed determination, sportsmanship, encouragement and school spirit throughout the entire day.
Well done, Eynesbury Primary School!

On Friday the 21st of August, Eynesbury Primary School were lucky enough to have the team from Alpha Shows come and perform their adaptation of Rapunzel. There was singing, dancing, special lighting effects, a smoke machine and even a boxing kangaroo. The show was entertaining and funny, with the actors getting a lot of laughs from the audience. Students were in awe as we saw Rapunzel and the gang finally become free of Mother Gothel’s tyranny, all the while learning that there is nothing more important than being yourself.

We are so thankful to Alpha Shows for coming to our school and we can’t wait to welcome them back next time with a brand new show!

Our Year 5 students had a fantastic time putting their Civics and Citizenship learning into action during the Parliament Process Incursion!
Students participated in a mock federal election before stepping into the roles of members of the House of Representatives. Through these hands-on activities, they experienced how Australians vote, how representatives participate in Parliament and how laws are made.
It was wonderful to see our students so engaged, confidently taking on their roles, contributing their ideas and making connections to what they have been learning about Australian democracy in the classroom.
What a great way to bring learning to life!

Our Book Fair is coming!

Our school Book Fair will run from 1 September to 10 September in the Breakfast Club Room (next to the Art Room).

This year, we are partnering with Lamont Books, providing students and families with access to a greater range of books across different interests, reading levels and genres.

Students will have the opportunity to browse the Book Fair during school time between 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm.
After-school purchasing will be available from 3 September, between 3:30 pm and 4:00 pm, in the Breakfast Club Room (next to the Art Room). Please note that only card payments will be accepted at school. No cash will be accepted.

Families can also purchase books online and collect from the school once your child completes their wish list. There will be more instructions to come on how to do this.

We look forward to celebrating reading with our school community!
