Sun safe and adventure ready!

Living in Exmouth means sunshine, outdoor play and plenty of adventures — which also means sun safety is an important part of every day at Exmouth ELC.

When our little learners head out on excursions, they're provided with their Exmouth ELC wide-brim hat and long-sleeve sun shirt, helping keep them protected while they're busy exploring.

And there's another bonus… having everyone dressed in their Exmouth ELC gear makes our group easy for educators to identify and keep together while we're out and about in the community.

Whether we're heading to the beach, exploring our local community or setting off on our next Kindy adventure, we want our children to enjoy the incredible Exmouth outdoors while learning healthy sun-safe habits from an early age.

Hats on, sleeves down… adventure time!

🐢💚 Meet Carlo!

Our friendly resident green sea turtle has found his forever home at Exmouth ELC — and isn't he beautiful!

This incredible mural was created by our good friend and talented Exmouth local, Carly bringing a little piece of the Ningaloo into our centre for our children to enjoy every day.

We absolutely love filling our spaces with elements that reflect the incredible place our children are lucky enough to call home.

A huge thank you to Carly for sharing your talent with us. We feel very lucky to have such a beautiful piece of artwork on our walls for many years to come!

Drop-off can be one of the hardest moments of the day—for both children and parents 💛

As educators, we know it can be tempting to quietly slip away when your child is happily playing. It often feels like the easiest option.

But over time, a calm, loving and consistent goodbye helps children build something even more important: trust.

When children know what to expect, they begin to understand that although goodbyes can feel hard, they're only temporary. They learn that Mum, Dad or their special grown-up will always come back.

At Exmouth ELC, our educators are here to support your child through those big feelings. A few tears at drop-off are completely normal, and with reassurance, consistency and engaging play, most children settle beautifully into their day.

One simple goodbye, one big hug and one confident "See you this afternoon" can make all the difference.

Together, we can help children build resilience, confidence and a secure sense of belonging—one goodbye at a time. 💛
