We had a very unexpected visitor at school today… and he was definitely the cutest one yet!

Meet our little possum friend, who had found himself a cosy hideaway inside our digital gate sign - and, in doing so, became the reason the sign was off!

A big thank you to our amazing IT team for fixing the sign and safely moving our little friend on to a more suitable home in the great outdoors.

We’re just glad we found the culprit… and that he was this cute!

🏃‍♂️ THE RACE | Junior School Concert 2026 🎶

Across three performances, our Prep–Year 6 students brought The Race to life through music, movement and costumes, sharing the biblical message of running the good race with faith, perseverance and our eyes fixed on Jesus.

With around 600 family members in the audience at each performance, our students were surrounded by an amazing community cheering them on. Even after a big week of rehearsals and late nights (and a few well-earned yawns from our littlest performers! 🥱), they gave it their all on stage.

A huge thank you to our students, families, teachers, and especially Mrs King, Coordinator of Performance, for her incredible leadership.

Our Year 9 students recently headed out for an 11 km walk as part of The Rite Journey.

The walk is one of the challenges within the program, which encourages students to step outside their usual routine, spend time together and reflect on the transition into young adulthood.

It was a solid effort from the whole group, with plenty of walking, talking and teamwork along the way.

Well done, Year 9! 👏

What a special morning we shared for Grandparents Day last Friday!

We always love welcoming our grandparents and special guests onto campus, and it was wonderful to see so many smiling faces enjoying time together.

Our guests were treated to a beautiful Junior School concert, followed by a relaxed morning tea and the chance to spend some precious time with their grandchildren.

Thank you to all the grandparents and special friends who joined us and helped make the morning so memorable. We loved having you on campus!

A very special thank you to all of our wonderful volunteers and student helpers who helped serve morning tea on Grandparents Day. Your time, energy and cheerful support helped everything run so smoothly and made our guests feel so welcome.

Our Year 9 Science Extension students put their forensic skills into practice, running a hands-on Forensics Experiment Expo for our Year 6 students.

The Year 6 students rotated through a range of practical activities, investigating evidence, conducting experiments and learning about the science behind forensic investigations.

A great opportunity for our Year 9 students to share their knowledge and for our Year 6 students to get hands-on with science.

R U OK? Day 💛

It’s more than a date on the calendar. It’s a reminder to notice one another, listen and make space for the conversations that matter.

Across Campus, on Thursday, staff were encouraged to wear yellow, while our furry friends from the Animal Assisted Programs brought plenty of comfort and smiles as they visited students and staff. Our Counselling team raised awareness, shared helpful resources and reminded students that support is always available.

At Northside, we believe God calls us to care for one another and carry each other’s burdens. not just today, but every day.

“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfil the law of Christ.” Galatians 6:2
