Thank to everyone who attended our open day this morning. Considering the rain looked like it might ruin our event we were pleasantly surprised at the amazing turnout and everyone appeared to have a great time. Special thanks to our wonderful volunteers who helped before and at the event and of course our amazing home bakers for the yummy treats. Also to our amazing staff who put so much time into preparing and setting up for the event. We must also make mention of our kindy children who helped us plan and decorate the kindy including planting flowers. At events like this we are so grateful for our wonderful community ❤️

Free Face Painting, Craft Activities & Entertainment by Renata. We will also have a coffee van and information/fundraising stall.

Lest we forget

This ANZAC Day, we remember the brave Australian and New Zealander men and women, and their allies, who served in all wars, conflicts and peacekeeping operations both past and present. Lest we forget 🎖️💐

Many of our C&K children walked together in local remembrance marches this morning, made beautiful wreaths, and shared stories and discussions about the spirit of the ANZAC through courage, friendship and sacrifice. Our future generations are thankful for our freedom 🌿

⚠️ Due to the continuing impact of ex-Cyclone Alfred and ongoing uncertainty, we have decided to close on Monday, 10 March.

This will allow time for our employees to attend the centre, assess any damage and prepare it for re-opening. Even though your local school may be open, C&K centres need time to determine the extent of any damage and ensure the environment is safe for staff and young children 🦺

The safety of your children and our employees is of the utmost importance. We will provide a further update regarding kindy on Monday afternoon 📧

Kindy is closed Thursday and Friday this week. Stay safe everyone 🩷

It's almost time to play! 🤸‍♀️

A new kindy year starts tomorrow and we're excited for another year of learning through play and creating joyful moments for children - just like this one 🧡

We are very excited to start 2025 Kindy next week. We look forward to seeing our returning families and meeting our new families. The holidays were very busy for us with many maintenance activities happening to get us ready for the children to arrive. On top of our "normal" maintenance we also had:

New Play Surface Installed by the team at Pro One Softfall. It was finished today and looks great! Thanks to our wonderful parent committee for supporting us during 2024 looking at options, quotes and fundraising. It was worth the energy to get a great outcome!

Working Bee by the team at at CRA Constructions. Thanks to the wonderful team at CRA Construction who VOLUNTEERED a day of labour to clean-up the playground, wash down the play equipment and lay sand, stepping stones and mulch to stop us walking through mud to get to our bins. CRA Constructions have provided great support in the past and continue to amaze us with their generosity.

Staff Support. Thanks to our wonderful staff who work over the holidays cleaning and preparing the kindy for the children. It is often a whole family event with their families also participating in cleaning, sewing and sorting. Our Kindy would not be what it is without you all - thank you!

We can't wait to start an amazing 2025!

Tonight was our final committee meeting for 2024 and we enjoyed dinner and drinks together to celebrate a great year. Our volunteer committee is so very important for the operation of our kindy and we thank them all for their contribution. We received a kind donation of a gift basket from Cr Tracy Davis and was able to put all our volunteers into a draw and the lucky winner was Liam who had been our Vice President for 2 years running. Congratulations Liam, the kids are going to love sharing this amazing gift basket with you!

Thankyou to all who helped us during the year, we appreciate our volunteers more than words can express.
