Do cookies taste better with white or brown sugar? Does butter have a better texture than oil in brownies? Do gluten free brownies have a different taste and texture? Do people react faster to sight or sound? Do reaction times change with age? Does classical music affect how long it takes to do a task?
These were just some of the questions our Year 9s were trying to answer with their experiments at today’s Science Fair. To conduct their experiments they needed test subjects, and our Year 7 students and some local Grade 6 students were happy to take part.
Well done to all our curious and enquiring students.

APPRENTICE SPOTLIGHT | OLIVER ROBERTSON

A huge congratulations to Year 11 student Oliver Robertson, who recently completed his Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice! 👏

Ollie is currently completing a School Based Traineeship with Ray White Euroa, where he is gaining valuable hands-on experience in the real estate industry while continuing his studies at Euroa Secondary College.

We recently asked Oliver to share a little about his SBAT journey - Oliver's story is a great example of the opportunities an SBAT can provide to explore a career, gain a qualification and build real-world experience while still at school.

Ollie will continue to work with Ray White Euroa while completing the rest of his studies. Ollie will finish school with his VCE, a Cert III in Business & Cert IV in Real Estate Practice. Congratulations, Ollie, on this fantastic achievement! 🌟

And last, but not least, a massive thank you to our local business owners like Shane at Ray White who make all of this possible for our students.

Rehearsals for our upcoming production of Macbeth are well underway, with an eager new generation of thespians memorising lines, dressing up in costumes and learning how to feign fights with swords and daggers.
Tickets for our evening performances on Friday and Saturday are selling quickly, so make sure to get in before you lose your chance to see this gothic tale of betrayal and murder in the Scottish Highlands.

Book Week is here! There will be activities in the library every day this week at recess. Come down, have fun and maybe get a prize!

Did you know that 6 minutes of reading reduces your stress levels by 68%, compared to listening to music (61%), having a cuppa (54%), taking a walk (42%), or playing video games (21%)?

This is because reading engages your imagination and stimulates your creativity, leading to an altered state of consciousness.
