Artwork of the month for May is by YR12 Art student, Damla Otcu.
Attached is her artist statement.
"My artwork was made using gouache paint on A3 mixed media canvas, and explores the tension between internal identity and external interpretation. It examines how we present ourselves using tools like makeup to construct an identity we want others to perceive."
Congratulations Damla!

Students from 7S were invited to a special event at the Victorian Space Science Education Centre (VSSEC), coinciding with an exclusive visit from Australia's first astronaut and Australian of the Year 2026, Katherine Bennell-Pegg.
This is a unique chance to inspire the next generation of women in STEM. Students will hear firsthand about Katherine's journey to becoming an astronaut, gain insight into careers within the space industry, and have the opportunity to ask questions about her experiences along the way.
