Flight Academy Australia (FAA) owned and operated by Michael Lanza, a well known and respected operator with over 32 years operational experience in the aviation industry. Mike’s extensive experience in the industry covers such areas as Flight Training, Instrument Training, Charter, Aerial Work and Survey as well as ground theory and endorsement on the Beechcraft King Air series of aircraft. With

a strong focus on pilot training from Student to Commercial Pilot License standard, FAA offers potential trainee pilots with quality training carried out by experienced Flight Instructors. A very special day at our Bacchus Marsh training base! ✈️

We recently welcomed a group of students visiting from Hong Kong for a closer look at life at Flight Academy Australia, complete with an impressive drone’s-eye view captured by their teacher.

Some feedback you file away. This kind goes straight on the wall.

One year ago this week, our visiting students from China spent four days with us learning what it takes to get a plane in the air, and left behind these hand-drawn thank you cards. School favourite VH-DDX got the portrait treatment, and yes, that really is Chief Pilot Michael Lanza in the top photo. Uncanny.

Our favourite lines: "Thank you for the profound experience.” And also “If I walk through the path of being a pilot, I'll try not to crash." That's the safety mindset we like to see.

Thanks for the artwork and the energy, and for reminding us why we love sharing what we do. Aim high, fly high! ✈️

A huge congratulations to Amy, who recently took to the skies on her very first solo flight at Flight Academy Australia.
