Kindergarten had an amazing day at Calmsley City Farm last Friday. We all couldn't decide which part of the day we loved the most, the tractor ride, dog, whip or sheep shearing shows, milking a cow or patting the baby animals. The big smiles on their face say it all 😄🐄🐑🦙🐐🐥

JEPS is incredibly proud to congratulate Uncle Steve Trist, who has received a Metropolitan South and West Directorate Community Partnership Award.

This well-deserved award recognises Uncle Steve’s dedication, passion and commitment to providing our children with authentic cultural learning, practices and understanding.

Uncle Steve lives and breathes his culture and shares it generously with our entire school community. He empowers our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students to feel strong and proud in their identity, while helping all students develop a deeper understanding of and respect for Aboriginal histories and cultures.

His contribution also extends to our staff. Through his patient guidance, honest feedback and deep cultural knowledge, Uncle Steve continues to build staff confidence and strengthen the way Aboriginal perspectives are embedded authentically across our school.

The strong and proud culture we have at JEPS is a credit to Uncle Steve’s tireless work, wisdom and generosity of spirit.

We are extremely fortunate to have Uncle Steve walking alongside us. Congratulations on this very special and thoroughly deserved recognition!
