🌿📚 Wombat Stew Writing in KN! 🐾✏️

KN have been having lots of fun exploring the classic Australian text Wombat Stew by Marcia K. Vaughan and Pamela Loftus!

Inspired by the story, our Kindergarten students ventured out into the school grounds to collect their very own ingredients for a special wombat stew. 🍃🪨🌼 Students then used their developing writing skills to describe the ingredients they collected, choosing interesting describing words to add detail to their writing.

From crunchy leaves and rough bark to tiny sticks and colourful flowers, KN used their senses and imaginations to bring their wombat stew recipes to life! 🥣🐾

What a wonderful way to connect literacy, nature and hands-on learning. Fantastic writing, KN! 🌟👏

📚✨ BOOK PARADE MAGIC AT REPS! ✨📚

What a fantastic celebration of books, characters and imagination at our Book Week Parade! 🎉

Our students proudly paraded their incredible costumes, bringing some of their favourite characters and stories to life. From superheroes and storybook classics to magical creatures and much-loved characters, the creativity was amazing! 📖🌟

Of course, the staff couldn’t miss out on the fun! This year, they travelled all the way from Hogwarts, transforming into characters from the Harry Potter series! ⚡🧙‍♂️🪄 There was definitely a little extra magic in the air at REPS!

A huge thank you to our families for the time, effort and creativity that went into helping our students prepare their costumes. Most importantly, thank you for helping us celebrate the joy of reading and the wonderful worlds that books can take us to. ❤️📚

📚✨ BOOK WEEK 2026 | AUTHOR VISIT ✨📚

What a fantastic way to celebrate Book Week at REPS! Today, we were thrilled to welcome Australian children’s author Nathan Luff to our school. 📖🌟

Nathan shared his passion for literature, storytelling and authorship, giving our students a wonderful insight into where story ideas come from and what it’s like to bring characters and adventures to life on the page.

Students loved hearing about Nathan’s hilarious books and popular series, including The Nerd Herd and Bad Grammar, while learning more about the creative process behind becoming an author. ✍️📚

A huge thank you to Nathan for visiting REPS and inspiring our young readers and writers. Experiences like these remind our students that books can make us laugh, imagine, wonder and create — and perhaps inspire the next generation of authors! 🌟

📚✨ SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR IS HERE! ✨📚

Our Scholastic Book Fair is in full swing, and there are so many fantastic books waiting to find a new home! 📖❤️

Students are busy creating their Book Fair Wishlists, which will be coming home today. Be sure to check their selections and have a chat about the books that have caught their eye! 👀📚

💳💵 Parents and carers are encouraged to bring cash or card when visiting the fair to purchase books and other items.

Every purchase helps support our school while encouraging a lifelong love of reading. 🌟

We can’t wait to see our students excitedly choosing their next great read! 📚🐛

💜 Bullying No Way: National Week of Action 💜

Today our K–6 students took part in the Kids Helpline anti-bullying webinar as part of Bullying No Way: National Week of Action. Students focused on understanding the Pause, Choose and Act actions to respond to bullying behaviour.

Throughout the week, students are also engaging in daily activities and conversations designed to strengthen a positive school culture where inclusion, acceptance, empathy and kindness are at the heart of how we treat one another. 💜

These important learning experiences empower our students to recognise bullying, speak up, seek help and understand the role we all play in ensuring everyone feels safe, respected and valued at school.

Together, we can make a difference and say Bullying No Way! 🙌💜

🐝🌼 Creating Homes for Our Blue-Banded Bees! 🌼🐝

KN and K/1M have been buzzing with excitement in Science! With Mr Cox and Mrs Strong, our students have been learning about native Australian blue-banded bees and putting their learning into action by building their very own bee hotels! 🏨🐝

🔎 Did you know? Blue-banded bees are solitary bees, which means they don’t live in large hives like honey bees. Females usually build individual nests in soft clay, mud or soil, creating small tunnels where they lay their eggs. They’re also amazing pollinators and use a special technique called buzz pollination to shake pollen loose from flowers! 🌸

What a fantastic hands-on way to explore living things, habitats and the important role our native pollinators play in the environment. 🌱💛

🎙️ Testing, testing… 1, 2, 3! 🎧

IC2 and 3/4AD have been busy in the library testing out their podcasting voices! Students had a fantastic time experimenting with microphones, recording their voices and building confidence with digital technology. 🎤💻

There may just be a few future podcast stars in the making! ⭐️
