Today students and staff enjoyed dressing up to celebrate Book week with a ‘Symphony of stories’ theme. After a wonderful
Performance by Tony Bones, our library monitors read to buddy classes. Our day ended with a lovely book-picnic where parents and children read books together in the playground. Thank you to those who could join us to celebrate and to our amazing string ensemble for their beautiful ‘symphony’ performance.

Today our stage 3 debating team competed against Anzac Park Public in the first knockout final after becoming the zone champions for 2026!

Unfortunately, our team lost the debate to Anzac Park being the negative side to the topic: all primary school teachers should set a research project as homework over every school holiday. Both teams had wonderful arguments and the adjudicator stated it was a close debate. Congratulations again to our team who were the zone champions for 2026!

WINNERS- UNDEFEATED! 4 straight wins in a row! Congratulations to our Premier’s Debating team who won today against Normanhurst Public School. The topic was ‘Primary schools should devote one day a week to sports, health and wellbeing’ and we argued the negative. Today EHPS celebrated the many ways we INSPIRE EXCELLENCE with a fantastic Open Day for Education Week. The day started with a practical workshop to support parents to help their children in maths. Many parents and grandparents then joined us for open classrooms where our students shared their work. After a lovely community picnic morning tea, our performing arts groups showcased their talents at our concert. The day ended with an engaging show from a local indigenous performer who played the didgeridoo and taught students and teachers how to dance, sing and throw a boomerang. Thank you to the team of staff who organised such a wonderful day. Thank you also to our community for engaging with us to celebrate our school motto- success for all.

Today Kindergarten celebrated being 100 days smarter and brighter at school. It was such an incredible milestone and celebration.

Over the past 100 days, we have grown in so many ways—building friendships, learning new skills, showing kindness, and gaining confidence every step of the way. We can't wait to see what the rest of the year brings!
