Shusei Kai Martial Arts & Karate Epping North

Today we had 15 students compete in the second round of the Goju Karate Konpe.

Very proud of how everyone performed today and it showed in the results.

Congratulations to all of you you did our club proud.

Thank you to all the parents for your support. And a huge Thankyou to Sempai Chris Cheong for all his work in preparing all our kumite team.

As a club owner it was so rewarding watching all of our students supporting and helping each other, especially those competing for the first time.

Pretty sure that everyone that competed went home with a result.

RAMIRA P (kinder gladiators) 🥳

She always turns up to class with a smile on her face, even at 9:30 on a Saturday morning. Ramira does each of her techniques with power and confidence, and is a role model to her fellow students. Great work, Ramira 🙂

MEGAN W (mighty mites) 💪

Megan has perhaps the highest attendance out of us all. Regardless of the level of a technique she’ll give it her best shot and puts all her power into it. She picks up new techniques with speed. We are so blown away by your talent, Megan 🤩

MIA S (juniors) 😎

Most students play tag or fight with the pool noodles before their class begins, but not Mia. You’ll always find her stretching and warming up in preparation for her class and it always pays off (I dare say her kicks are better than mine). She puts her 100% into her kata every single lesson, and shares her knowledge through engaging methods when she teaches younger students as an instructor trainee. Excellent job, Mia 👍

And last but not least…

CHRIS C (adults) 🙌

It goes without saying, he is an extremely selfless and dedicated both teacher and student. He works incredibly diligently and encourages his students and peers to do likewise. Congratulations, Chris 🙃

Students of the month of June will receive their certificates in the first 2 weeks of term 3. Be sure to congratulate them if you see them around 🙂

This Sunday is Mother’s Day and to celebrate we had “bring your mum to training”

We had a great day and l think the mums also enjoyed it.

It was a great turn out and we also had a Free BBQ with money raised through our fund raising efforts.

It is great to have the parents interaction with the students training, and you should have seen some of the kids faces, they loved it.

Wishing all of our karate mums a Happy Mother’s day tomorrow.

All the mums that came today went into a raffle and we drew a door prize for one lucky mum.

The winner was Freyja’s mum Shelly.
