We were very fortunate to have Brett from Life Choices come to school yesterday to do an amazing presentation for Yr 8 called Make Bullying History.
The programme aims to reduce rates of bullying incidents and increase the feeling of safety within the school community. Brett draws on his own life experience as a victim of chronic bullying throughout his high school life. He struggled with suicidal thoughts at the age of 15 and was a child of divorced parents. Brett went on to be an Australian of the Year Nominee, former State Champion Boxer and State level competitor of 5 different sporting disciplines.
His presentation resonated with the boys, with many of them staying behind to thank him at the end.
