Vacation Care is finished for another term! Check out some of our snaps below that showcases the talented children, adventure and entertainment we had during the school holidays. We enjoyed an artistic workshop with The Brightspace, Arcades at B Lucky and Sons, our own Athletics Carnival at Sydney Olympic Park as well as incursions from Handball Australia, Inflatable Bubbles from Bubble Soccer Hire and many more! The children were also pleased to share they were the victor’s of the Children vs Educators day, although by only a narrow margin.
Our personal highlight was our Athletics Carnival day, it was so inspiring to see so many talented athletes and the sportsmanship on show was superb, whilst using world class facilities and equipment!

Summer Vacation Care is done and dusted and it’s been a blast! Check out some of our snaps from the last program. Our highlights include: excursions to EnterMission, Peak Pursuits, Osaka Teppanyaki, The Australian Reptile Park and Bounce Inc! As well as incursions from Messy Makers Ryde and Lower North Shore, OOSH TV, Elite Soccer and Harrington Entertainment!

If you ask us, our personal highlight was Osaka Teppanyaki! It was amazing to see the children try lots of new things and laugh as they caught food, were amazed by fire and experience a new cultural eating experience!

We look forward to the next one and hope to see you there!

We're so proud of our Matildas and their efforts in the World Cup! Epping North went Matilda mad yesterday with m***i, hairspray, face paint and even green and gold scrolls! So thankful all of our boys and girls have such positive roll models to look up to in Sport.
Hopefully they can claim the bronze on Saturday night against Sweden🥉

Hi families and community, Jake here - as you may know today is annual OOSH Educator's Day! I wanted to take a moment to shout out our incredible team of educators we have at Epping North. We're very blessed to have you all!

Thank you for being friends, teachers, doctors, coaches, referees, artists, role models and just all round amazing people to our wonderful children. Thank you for all the passion, creativity, energy and patience you show day in and day out. You're very much an important part of our school and the North Epping Community.

Check out our highlights from our recent Vacation Care! We had a blast at Code Red Laser Tag and Lollipops Playland with the tea cups ride in hot demand from kids and big kids (educators) alike! Our kids showed off some incredible skill and an insane amount of luck in our trick shot competition as well as getting in touch with their creative side at our very own nail salon. We were impressed with how brave and fearless the kids were when getting up close and personal with some reptiles including a giant snake, a baby crocodile and even some cute frogs! We had an all out foam block war at Ultimate Sydney and the kids showed off their rock climbing skills and had a ball on the trampolines and giant slides.

Good afternoon North Epping! Our Welcome BBQ is just 2 weeks away! We're excited to host a range of activities such as Laser Tag, Face Painting and more as well as a BBQ for all attendees.

Happy Holi!

This week we celebrated the Hindu festival of Holi. Holi is also known as the festival of colour and represents the triumph of good over evil. It is a time to appreciate friendships and foster forgiveness in others. At the centre we held a colour festival where the kids got to throw coloured powder and got absolutely covered in colour! We also made a flower Rangoli and tried the Indian sweet Jalebi. The kids had a blast!

We got out and about with lots of excursions to the Movies, Allianz Stadium, The Australian Museum, and Archie Brothers Arcade. The kids loved getting out of the centre and seeing some of their favourite characters on the big screen, seeing a giant 8m long whale shark model and the dinosaurs at the museum, getting to explore the ins and outs of the Allianz stadium including the locker rooms and a run around on the field and kicking the educator butts at air hockey at the arcade. We also had a blast at the centre with an insane water bomb fight, some delicious treats and an OOSH record breaking amount of four leaf clovers found!

With some much fun happening at the centre there’s too much to write about! What was your child’s favourite thing they did this holidays?

Merry Christmas to our wonderful children, family, educators and community that have made our 2022 so fantastic!

Today is our last day of operation for 2022 but we will be back for 2023 on Thursday the 5th of January!

We hope you all have a happy and safe break and see you all in the new year!

Risky Play 🪂

Risky play or Adventurous Play is one of the earliest play experiences that children engage in as they develop. Think how a baby learns to walk? This type of play, whilst it can make our hearts skip a beat, has some incredible benefits such as developing gross motor-skills and proprioception, self-awareness, resilience and experimenting with cause and effect! Here at Epping North OSHCP risky play is an integral part of our program as this fosters autonomy and allows the children to have ownership over their experiences here and builds confidence, teamwork and generates an extraordinary amount of fun! Our educators ensure the children are adequately supervised and on hand to help as the children are free to explore and learn how to take risks safely and sensibly.
