Today the children enjoyed a beautiful Friday morning outdoors, using chalk to create their very own colourful masterpieces! 🖍️✨

Through open-ended drawing, the children were able to express their creativity, explore colours, shapes and patterns, and use their imagination in their own unique ways. It was lovely to see them sharing ideas, drawing alongside their friends and proudly showing off their chalk creations.

A simple but wonderful experience full of creativity, connection and fun! ☀️🎨

Our Gumnuts Room is a calm, nurturing and welcoming space designed especially for our youngest learners aged 0–2 years. ✨

Within our indoor environment, the children are supported to explore safely, build trusting relationships, engage their senses, develop early communication and grow in confidence at their own pace.

Through sensory play, music, movement, stories, soft play, fine motor experiences and quiet moments of connection, our Gumnuts are encouraged to feel secure, loved and ready to learn.

Every little moment in our Gumnuts Room helps build strong foundations for belonging, wellbeing and early learning. 💛

Our Possums Room is a warm, inviting and engaging space designed for our curious 2–3 year olds to explore, learn and grow. ✨

Through hands-on play, creative experiences, sensory learning, dramatic play, construction, group times and quiet moments, our Possums are supported to build confidence, independence, communication and social skills.

Each area of our indoor environment encourages imagination, discovery and meaningful learning through play. We love watching our Possums feel safe, settled and excited as they explore their room each day. 💛

🧸✨ TEDDY BEAR PICNIC FUN! ✨🧸

This morning our children enjoyed a beautiful Teddy Bear Picnic with their favourite cuddly friends! We shared a special morning tea together, enjoyed lots of smiles, conversations and imaginative play with our teddy bears. 🧺💛

It was so lovely seeing the children proudly bring in their special teddy friends and include them in our picnic fun. What a warm and wonderful way to start our day! 🧸🌿

🎽🏉 Jersey Day Fun! 🏉🎽

What an exciting day we had celebrating Jersey Day across our centre! Our children and educators came dressed in their favourite jerseys, team colours, hats, scarves, and sporting gear, bringing so much colour, energy, and team spirit into the day.

The children enjoyed joining in a range of fun sporting experiences, games, and active play opportunities, encouraging teamwork, movement, confidence, and connection with their peers. It was wonderful to see everyone proudly showing off their favourite teams and celebrating the joy that sport brings to our community.

We will be having lots of fun days throughout our weeks, so keep an eye out for what’s coming next! We cannot wait to continue creating special memories with the children. ✨

🌿 Long Weekend Reminder 🌿

We would like to wish all of our beautiful families a safe, relaxing, and lovely long weekend!

Just a friendly reminder that the centre will be closed on Monday, 8th June 2026 for the public holiday.

We will reopen as normal on Tuesday, 9th June 2026, and we look forward to welcoming all of our children and families back after the long weekend.

We hope you all enjoy some special time together, whether you are relaxing at home, heading out on an adventure, or spending time with loved ones. We cannot wait to hear all about the wonderful memories the children made over their long weekend when they return on Tuesday.

✨❄️ Our Favourite Picks for Activities This Week Across All Three of Our Rooms! ❄️✨

What a wonderful week of learning, creativity, and discovery at Engadine Early Learning Centre! 🌟

🐧 Kookaburras explored a magical Winter Wonderland, using sensory play, imagination, and conversations about seasonal changes to build their vocabulary and understanding of the world around them.

🚛 Possums got creative with their Truck Collage, developing fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and language as they explored transport and construction-themed experiences.

🐄 Gumnuts enjoyed Cow Barn Block Building, using blocks and recycled materials to create farm structures while strengthening problem-solving skills, coordination, and imaginative play.

Every experience was thoughtfully planned to support children’s learning through play while encouraging creativity, confidence, communication, and exploration. 💙
