✨ Inspired by the World Around Us 🐢🧵

When children are given the freedom to observe, explore and create, inspiration can be found everywhere. 🌿

Our children discovered beautiful patterns in their environment, from turtles to postal stamps and transformed these ideas into their own embroidery designs. 🪡💛

As they carefully stitched, they were not only creating beautiful artwork, but also refining their concentration, coordination, patience and fine-motor skills.

What began as an observation became an idea, and that idea became something they could create with their own hands. ✨

The classroom is buzzing with energy as we begin an exciting new term. Our new learning focus is Community Helpers—discovering the amazing people who make our community a safe, caring, and connected place.

Through authentic Montessori, hands-on experiences, practical activities, and meaningful exploration, our children will learn by doing, asking questions, and making real-world connections every step of the way.

✨ Multicultural Day at CMC was a wonderful celebration of the diversity that makes our community so special!

Children and families enjoyed a range of hands-on experiences, including cultural foods, songs, dress-ups, and meaningful parent involvement. We also explored Aboriginal culture through engaging activities that encouraged learning, respect, and appreciation.

It was a fantastic day filled with connection, discovery, and celebration. Thank you to everyone who helped make it such a memorable experience! ❤️💙🧡💛

Today we had a beautiful Wayapa Earth Connection Workshop with the children. 🌿

Through storytelling, movement, mindfulness and nature connection, the children explored ways to care for themselves, each other and Mother Earth. They learned about respect for nature, mindfulness, breathing, movement, gratitude and the importance of caring for Country.

The workshop encouraged children to slow down, connect with the natural world and develop a deeper sense of belonging and wellbeing. We are grateful for this meaningful experience and the opportunity to learn through Indigenous wisdom and earth connection practices. 💚

The children explored our beautiful world through hands-on Montessori learning 🌍✨

They blew up balloons, pasted continent cutouts, and created their very own Planet Earth models. We sang the continent song together and learned the names and positions of the continents on the world map. The children were so excited and proudly took their creations home to share with their families.

A joyful day of geography, creativity, music, and discovery through our Montessori kindergarten program 💙
